went to aprilla dealers john carrs saturday.guy there who used to race rsvs said to take down the steering a few notches and drop a tooth on the front sprocket said it will improve handling and much better gearing , ive seen how alot of you recomend the sprocket wondering if anyone has had steering down a couple of notches :dunno

When ya say steering are ya talking about the forks ? if you are Southern Cross dropped mine down to the 4th ring, sharpens the handling no end :thumbup

miine were dropped, but too uncomfortable for the road, plus steering is quite quick on my factory 04.
if on track, fair enough, if on road leave well alone
go for the gearing though

mines gone in today for oil and plug chnge and front sprocket -2t.
cant wait to test the differance in gearing!!

alrate big un missed you at weekend could have poped up to jc's to have a cuppa we yah ill pm my phone number so we can meet up for bikefest :thumbup

cheers matey.
hoping i can make bikefest,im back into the hospital thursday for my pre op examination.
plus bikes had to have a service due to last owner overfilling with oil and to top it off the clutch has gone on me fookin van.everything happens at the wrong time!
wouldnt be so bad but im on stat sick pay so only getting £300 a month so were struggling a lot and halfway through buying a new house!
but fingers crossed and all that!

i've just changed mine to 16/44
first impressions are good

had my forks dropped with 4 rings showing now and much prefer it to before but i fitted ohlins to replace my showas

4 rings on the forks is the standard "good" nimble setting.

ok big un good luck thursday mate and il deffo cacth up with you if bike fest is off fooking money iam feeling the pinch wanted to get bike done at image works but cant afford that at mo :jack , get well soon mate
