Servicing!!!!!!!

Cheers for that, will need to go round and see sometime. Did not realise that he did servicing on them.

I also got rid of a fireblade for my T and totally agree that its been a great decision.

Yip if you are over this way then give us a shout.

Cheers

I got it sevriced by John at Huntly motorcycles. Bought the bike from him too so maybe thats why it was so cheap.

Ye if you purchase it from a dealer they usually do the service for free and you just pay the parts.

I had mine serviced at A&D in Denbeigh over the weekend. What a great bunch of guys. They stayed behind on Friday night till 6.30pm so I could get the bike to them and stored my trailer over the weekend. Great customer service, they will be having my custom from now on.

Nice to see that some dealers value new customers as well as their own.

56 quid,,,? i thought my service was good at 96 from an aprilia dealer,,,lucky bugger

Hi

I'm just loving the Tuono, suit's me so much better than the Blade. Just hope it keeps me smiling the more miles I do.

I got it sevriced by John at Huntly motorcycles. Bought the bike from him too so maybe thats why it was so cheap. I've used John for many many years now and really can't fault him, and he's quite a bit cheaper than the places in Aberdeen. I have to say though he aint always the best to speak too ( never been too bad with me, just what other have said) but don't let that put you off.

Maybe catch up for a run sometime. Check out http://www.mcmc.org.uk

Cheers Toby69,

Have registered on the site and think it was you that answered a post i had on there so cheers. Also wend to see John really nice fella and bought a tailpack bag very reasonable price too so spot on.

Will get him to service the bike at the end of the year.

Service

My service was $400 US dollars.
You really need to shop around. There are big differences in prices.
The dealer I purchased the bike from wanted $1000.

Well guys if you want a really decent service in Scotland then give Skinner Motorcycles a call really helpful. http://www.skinnermotorcycles.co.uk/

Went down today to get my bike setup for MAP 2 and just checked out and as it turns out the bike was already on MAP2 but old firmware so latest version programmed, also they noticed there were some faults one was for the oil being too full so they kindly syphoned out some oil and made sure it was all correct before i left brilliant service!

Will be going there for my 6000 mile service for definite proper Aprillia folk!

So give them a call if you are looking for decent folk to properly look after your bike in Scotland!

Thanks Aldo for telling us about them much appreciated!
Cheers

AF1 great guys

Just my two pence worth - those guys at AF1 are the best.

I bought my bike second hand and after about two days noticed a hole where the (factory ohlins adjustable) steering damper ought to be. Clean bits where it used to be as well, so recently removed. Dealer an absolute wan$%^ and didn't want to know. Quick email to AF1 and NZ$350 for the part incl postage. Got quoted in NZ for same thing around $1200 from dealer (said prev owner must have removed it...hmmm). Still a bit gutted the dealer didn't make good and get one, but at least I didn't have to fork out the huge $$. Even the non-adjustable no-name steering dampers here are around $500!

Go go AF1.

AF1 rocks all right. Wish they were on this side of the Pacific Still, you can't beat their online mail order service.

Had my T serviced last saturday for £80.....Cant see where these quotes of £200 come from as the ony thing you are paying for apart from the labour costs are oil & filter.

Has anybody had the first service and still found the spanner symbol showing on the clock...If so, do you no how to get rid of it ....Or is it something only an approved Aprilia tech can deal with?

Hi all, first time poster so the virtual drinks are on me.

Wow, just found an Aprilia specialist just a few miles up the road who I didn't even know existed until I came here. Thanks Streetfighter, you can have a double :)

Hi Wills, it maybe worth the long treck over to Griff at Aprilia Performance in Tamworth. He used to work for the factory and is a maestro. Try the following link (www.customrestoandrace.co.uk)

Just had my 600 mile service at Dave Milling in Whitehaven - official Aprilia dealer - didnt get the bike from him and it was serviced with no questions at all - £128. Cant really argue with that.

£97 for 600 mile service at Preston Superbike Centre, which included the cost of changing the end cans and putting on a 15t front sprocket. So the service on its own would have been about £50 (the invoice shows 2 hours of labour free of charge). Bargain.
