BRACKLEY
Hi guys, my bike is unfortunately kept outside and all through the winter in the damp and cold she was a bitch to start. The bike is on a optimate but even this afternoon in the sunshine she flooded again. I have cleaned the plugs and the battery is charged but no go. Do you guys use the fast idle even on a hot day and does anyone know if im missing something. Thanks for any help.

Always use the fast idle irrespective of weather.

As a last ditch desperate method you can use a full throttle start , but it is a last ditch attempt and you must be pretty quick with the wrist.

Cheers Kiwi but dont know if I have balls for that. I have heard a few bad stories about it.

****** start ups...nearly always a bolloxed battery. Put a voltmeter across battery teminals when you crank it...if it dips down below 10v, then the battery is more or less toast.
