Hi wonder if anyone can help put my mille in the hut for two weeks was in for an operation so couldn't start her regularly went and tried her and shell not start charged the battery it seems fine when i tried again after refitting the battery turn the key the rev counter only goes half way instead of the usual right round and when i press the starter button it sounds like the fuel pump is priming again

The reason why the rev needle only goes half way round is because it has reset itself from the flat battery. You can reset the rev light once you've got yourself up and running so don't concern yourself with that one squire.
If when you press the starter after charging the battery it sounds like the fuel pump is priming again, then i'm afraid it is new battery time as it isn't sending enough charge to start and is resetting the clocks/ignition sequence so the fuel pump will prime again after you release the starter button.
New battery time sir. Get yourself on upgraded one if you can YTX14 instead of a 12, and if you get the chance, get yourself a Yamaha relay and upgrade the starter relay at the same time.

CP is spot on there ol mate..new battery for sure (YTX 14 BS i run in mine) and the solenoid is a good mod to take the load off sprag equipment fast because of nice clean starting. Post up how you go with it matey. Regards, Aj
