Hi guys - yah ok - ***** question. Was putting fuel at pumps on Sunday and this old geezer comes over and starts asking question after question re the Mille. He also telling me about his Nortons, Enfields and Truimphs etc so knew his stuff albeit some years back........So then he asks me whats RSV stand for......and I was stuffed if a knew so fobbed it and said "Race Series V" ??? So what does it stand for the please ? I realise the Mille is the Italian for one thousand - so I am not that bad am I !!hahahaha - thanks - Len :thumbup

Got me?

Mille is thousand in italian so we're both as bad as each other. The V obviously recognised the engine configuration but as for the RS, i'm stumped as well.

If no one else comes up wit a solution or definative answer i'm using yours

Hey Spud - cool - I dont feel so bad now !! I did a web search, even aprilia.com cant seem to find an answer - plus we are the RSVzone.................someone on here will know I am sure of that.

Didn’t RS on fords stand for racing specification; no idea for the mille either though :dunno

Ahhh

Race Series V : Ok thats great and I did not give that chap BS then......Well leave it there unless someone has a different confirmed opinion. Thanks again

race series does'nt sound all that italian bearing in mind the 'mille' and 'tuono' bits though?

It stands for "Rotary Side Valve" ! ! ! !...............:thumbup

At least i'm 99% sure it does................!!
