I told you I had everything from the beginning and offered it to you at an extra price because I had spent a fortune on the parts, you said no, who's the **** now?

Little bit more info, sorry:

The seat cowl was attached to a bracket that held the lock mechanism in place, the 2 screws that held the bracket came loose so the whole bracket, lock mechanism and cowl came off, I felt a whip across my back as I was travelling down the motorway and then stopped but for the life of me couldn't find it!

Cheers

The pin is welded on, whoever sold you that knew it and has ripped you off, you have my number mate, you have been very unfair to me but I am still here if you need help, never been away dude, all it would have taken was a phone call and we could have sorted it without all this slagging off and name-calling!!

i think you have not explained how you could lose a seat from this?

where exactly did it hold when you lost it? it looks like a track bike to me. no offense

It does fit and stays in place with no issues, *DOH*!!!

Clearly :p

So an 03 seat fits an 00 bike???

Which the plastics on the bike are....

I siad DOH because it would be no good to vince 1) it wont fit 2) the bike has a mono subframe

No one disputed that he got a good deal on the bike. The only slight on u is whether or not u *********** about the cowl coming off.

think it is all getting out of hand now. The second seat cowl I bought is being returned tomorrow for a refund only losing a fiver on postage so not that bad. watching another seat cowl at the moment with all correct fittings which will go on my new lock mech. I don't think I've lied about anything just asked other people's opinions on how to fix the problem. The name calling came from me being pissed off ordering a expensive cowls and other bits and bobs to find out they won't fit and having to order stuff again lol. but it's all getting sorted now :)

The bracket fixed to the rear fairing where the lights are, there are screw holes there for it (for single seaters)

The cowl flew off and my mate, who is well known on these forums, witnessed that the cowl was there the night before and that we searched that part of the M4 several times together to see if it had gone down an embankment or wherever the F it went, it bewildered the balls off me!!!

I used normal nuts and not nylons, I should have used nylons and I knew it the moment I was putting it all together, just a lapse on my side I suppose.

I have no reason to ******** mate, I am very straight talking and do not mess anyone around, I tell the truth and nothing but!!

I apologise to anyone if I have offended but seeing lies makes me lose my rag and takes me to a dark place, I have generously offered all the stuff at a great price to Vince but he's a bit broke now as am I but I genuinely do feel bad about all this, I spent hours and lots of money on that bike to arrive at it's delivery with bits missing, I felt like **** and explained it all, even the guy with me will tell you I do not lie about things, I have no reason to nor do I even try and find one!

Cheers guys, ride safe!

No worries dude, but as I said before, I am only a phone call away and I would have been more than happy to help, you know the situation I was in with the house move etc (afterwards admittedly) but any issues then you should have just called.

I refer to the quote "good find Philly. that's the guy I bought the bike from ******* said he couldn't find a replacement seat what a ****", I told you on the first ever conversation that I had all the bits still on the bike to have it as a 2 seater and that all those bits would cost you extra, just a lapse on your side this time but I felt like you were lying mate, I am transparent and I always say everything there is to say about anything I sell as I don't want any comebacks.

That said, we have settled it now, if you need help with anything then you have my number mate, no hard feelings, I am not like that!

Cheers

Forgot to mention something:

The zip ties were put on in front of Vince where we met to make sure nothing else came off, it was all bolted in but as I said before, not with nylon nuts and that was my BIG BAD!!!!

Cheers

It does, miraculously, not a perfect fit but with all the other bits I have (grab-rail, etc) it fitted really well, I know, surprised me too as I thought, when I bought the seat, "This is the wrong one" but the tightness of the space for the grab-rail etc held it nicely in place!!!

Cheers and no offence with the comeback dude, just was very angry at that moment and steam was being let off!

Yeh the zip ties were put on before my ride home. like I said bike should all be sorted and ready to go by next weekend :) if we have the weather :-/.

I could be wrong but from what i remember (i swapped my 1up for 2up subframe) there should also be two spacers where the cable ties are on tied on the pic which could be why you were struggling to get a fit..

They sit between the subframe and the tail fairing.

Never had them mate, with all the stuff I had on for the 2 seater there is no space for spacers.

well the fit on my second seat cowl was good but it was missing the pin that goes in the mech.
