RSV as a commuter

gentlemen let's ride in the rain, ride riiiiide riiiiiiiiiide in the rain! on our Apes let's ride in the rain! riiiiiiide riiiiiiiiiiiide in the rain! just don't touch that damn front brake in the rain! lol
so may I ask you why someone would bother being on this forum if they don't have an RSV?

irate it just doesn't make sense to me! everbody please stick out your Greencards and your Ape keys! NOW! lol

yeh, everyday commuting for me too. no problems, although the heat in South Africa is extreme - been 34 degrees celsius for weeks now. bike runs up to 90 degrees fast in the traffic/city. fans do their job well till i get a piece of open road and temp. comes down to 76 celcius and back up to the 80-90's at next robot.

Hi James. I can only give you my experiences of commuting. I've owned two milles, a 2002 and my current 2001 model. I used both for a commute of over 40 miles daily and have, touch wood, no issues regarding reliability at all. My previous bikes are an R6, Duke 748 and in between my milles a Gixxer 750. I wouldn't have any other bike in all honesty.
A key thing in any bike ownership is husbandry. Keeping everything well maintained and using factory parts in servicing. Make sure you can afford to keep whatever your chosen bike is well serviced and maintained, and the rest will take care of itself.

The ultimate commuter bike????

get yourself a benneli Adiva.

I bought one a month ago to get me through the winter and it's effing brilliant.

the roof keeps you dry and folds CLK style into the boot, the side bits...keep you dry too. Has a space for a proper stereo and speakers, huge boot, 100 mpg, cheap to insure, comfortable, I've crashed it twice in the snow and ice and not a scratch, I've even got satnav and some rather fetching curtains fitted to the back window (I kid you not).

Only problem is that it looks like a spakker car.LOL.
