Right lads

KiwiRSVR ( scott) has had some real **** luck with Frankie and I need a someone in the vicinity of where he lives to go and have a look with AMB67 ( Alan)

Youll need to read his thread in order to see the latest, but basically a low down rumbling under load.

Come on guys lets get together on this one and help him out.

Hes a good bloke and would be a shame for him to leave the forum in this way.

ps yes I know hes a Kiwi but I feel sorry for the Fat git.

More importantly will save him a few quid as well as the grief if he sells it broken at half it's value.

Unfortunatley i don't personally know anyone local to you Kiwi that is good with the spanners but must be someone on the forum to go with Amb armed with a big hammer.

Hammers I have, as I also have a can of petrol and being a boy scout know how to use matches :thumbup

Tim.............................For once I am lost for words, but should we ever meet and I can find a step ladder I am gonna give you the biggest ManHug ever :)

Just chatting to Scott on MSN and he's just run it up again and can't replicate the noise.

I told him problem over, get it on Ebay. LOL

OK. We have a cunning plan!

I've managed to convince Scott to get the bike ridden over to the services just off the Dartford Tunnel.

The plan is we meet him at the services at around midday and have a good old gander at his bike.

If you can make it on Saturday, please do so, Scott really needs our assistance here.

PS. If Frankie is fine then we can go for a blast. :doug

No need Chris I think we've found the problem.

It's the metal bit in between his legs. LOL

We reckon it could be the chain or a sprocket issue, we'll have to see on Saturday at high noon.

Mmmm, Alan, are you sure Scott wants to be riding it with a "rather frightening vibration coming from what feels like the bottom of the engine"?
If it is loose flywheel, he definitely doesn't and even if it's chain/sprocket related then it could still be dodgy.
If I was a bit nearer I'd come over as Scott was very kind when I was doing my sprag. Hope it gets sorted mate.

That strange vibration is the engine running Kiwi.

I know it's been a while off the road so you probably forgot it had such a thing.

Hope you get it sorted anyway.

Scott, you still OK for this afternoon?

Anyone else coming along for a brew, chat and anything else that's going on?

Thanks for meeting me at Thurrock today, shame you lost your number plate tho !!.

Well as for Frankie, he DEAD, the rotor has spun on the crank , mashing the rotor and doing some damage to the crank.

So Spoonz you did guess right, not the guess I wanted but you were right :-(, although you may not have guessed the reason why.

The head of the bolt holding the rotor to the crank had sheared !!!, not sure if it was a result of the rotor mashing the woodruff key and then moving around on the crank, or the bolt shearing allowing the rotor to move that mashed the woodruff key.

Which ever is irrelevant has its back off the road (again), at best its a new rotor and worst the engine is toast.

If nothing else I can get these things stripped down really quickly these days ...........

So the sorry tale of my relationship with the APE (appropriate name methinks) continues.

Sorry to here about frankie.I think all you guys helpping out with kiwi is just awesome.Like I said before awesome peeps we have on this site.:thumbupI hope it can be fixed good luck Kiwi.. donnie

Scott, this just gets worse mate.

OK we need to dig deep and help Scott get his bike back on the road.

Has anyone got a rotor for his bike that they can sell or donate??

Any parts donated from anyone on the forum would be much appreciated.

This guy is a diamond and has had some **** luck with this RSV, dig deep and help him out.

That's the most surreal experience I've ever had. :dunno

Lost my number plate on the motorway and was followed by a patrol car across the Dartford crossing up until the turn off at the M20, I thought for sure they was gonna tug me over, but they didn't.

If you guys (Policemen) are reading this thread, top blokes. :thumbup

PS. That bloody wind when I was going over the bridge was scary!!

Felt like it was blowing the wheels from under me.

PSS. Griff, you're a top man for offering bits to repair Frankie. If I win the Lotto tonight it's RSV4's all round.
