Abergavenny
Eh up fellas. As per request I realise that theres a ride out in May being organised by Gilo and Shotgun but there was a request for another one in between. My suggestion for the people who joined us last time is Abergavenny, Lower Chapel, Upper Chapel (roads we didn't do last time) onto Crossgates then back to Abergavenny. Shouldn't be as long as the last ride out.

May be too far for some to travel i.e. Pinny, Shotgun etc but thought I'd just make it a suggestion.

Its on a Saturday so hopefully less Mr Plods about so we can get a shufty on.

You boys are just rubbing it in now. I'm itching to join you lot but with baby no.3 due that week, bike is on lockdown for a while, espically from 200 odd mile trips to you from Kent, but I will be down before the summer :)

Definitely up for it! I'll ask Roly too, we are going to try and fix his bike this afo.

Who knows its two and half weeks away yet. I was thinking prob about 11 ish (if I can make it on time). People seemed to be getting home late last time so eariler the better I reckon weather dependant.

Roly has just been round & we couldn't fix his bike but he's up for this ride (if he fixes his bike!!).

Providing i can get a couple of new tyres installed on the T in time i may be up for this again.

Got back sunday and there aint a lot of miles left in em,
Thinking of going for some dunlop D209 qualifiers or something like that £180 for the pair fitted at my local bike shop ( loose wheels )

thems posh tyres bay, areant they the dual compound ones, yours look like the tread has been cut in with a craft knife

Yeah dual compound ones but the pilot road 2's last longer and can be had for 220 fitted. My neighbour has them fitted has done 6k and still loads of tread left. Luckily we don't do much motorway roads as we're straight onto the twisty stuff

Well pleased with my Dunlop Sportsmarts so far. Gotta be careful when they're new though, slippier than a pole dancer's baps.

Bay - do you think this is too close to last weeks as not a lot of takers yet? I'm happy if there are only a few of us though just so you know :) Dying to experience the roads I missed especially if they are anywhere near as good as Aber-Llandovery.

Roly picked his bike up earlier with his mate who owns a bike repair/dynojet place - v handy for him! So he should be ok for this now.

Hmm - that place could come in handy for me too I reckon!!

Do u know what I beleive it might be that very same date.
Oh what to do. Go ride or go see some Italian motors. Hmmmm. Will leave post up and see what happens. If its fine I might just go out and ride.

As I said earlier me & Roly are up for the ride. Not bothered how many:thumbup

Got back @ 7 but had to resort to M4 to get back in time for curry!

Enjoyed it today completely different to a Sunday :)

Nackered tho and bought 2 extra bottles of vino just in case.

Oh road from Brecon sun came out so internal visor down for only time of the day - nice

Yeah good ride today. I particulary liked the stop off at he pub half way around which was a good shout I think. Thems nice roads up that way and not the usual ones the bikers do so the Police don't tend to patrol them as much. Some nice bends though in places and they seem to be resurfacing the roads in places with nice new tarmac. I think that route is called the Leominster Loop.

I'd forgotten how close to Hereford Leominster is though. I do love that road from Hereford to Abergavenny though. Fast and sweeping. Maybe not enough sharp bends though which I do like as well.

Though we kept it fairly sane today though. I'm trying out different routes at the mo to try and find some different than the ones done my mates who just seem to stick to the same ones. So far seem to be finding some nice ones.

It's a nice road, but I prefer tight and twisty, which is why the Usk Rd is one of my favouritest ever. Gimmee bends, more bends, and shitloads of bends :thumbup
