I think they were all together, he called me a "super fast, safe, god like motor biker" or words to that effect lol. I think they were pretending (badly) to be advanced bikers but weren't very good.

Guys I'll be out early next sunday. Booked my slot already so it better be dry.

I'll come to melton Mcdonalds. What time will you be out?:dunno

I've dug out my thermals already.:crazy

After you left matt I went along the A606 or is it the A6006 all the way to ashby. Turned left at the main lights in melton. Thats a nice road which is fast but i prefer it to be more twisty. Gods own road is the way forward. It was once voted the 3rd best biking road on britain in an MCN pole. The cat and fiddle being top. I rode the cat and fiddle a few weeks back and its good but not as good as the B6047.

The point where you had your spill a few years back, I've had a heart pumping moment there too about 9 years ago when i was a novice, panic braked when the road swept left and the bike stood up. Ended up on the other side of the road before letting go of the brake lever and just leaning the bike. Good job nothing coming the other way. Funny I've seen loads of people do the same thing since.

i,v not rode that road and i am a member ov the iam :uhoh
can i wear my hi viz vest

you sure can but i don't think it will look right riding a mille:dunno. There was a squadron of them IAM guys out yesterday. I think theyre from northants as I regularly see them at the green in melton. Some of them are very impressive when you consider they're riding big honda's and things.

If you've never ridden the B6047 then you are in for a real treat.

If you do a search on you tube there is an advanced biker who has done a commentary video on it. Well he's done half of it between the A47 and Mkt Harborough. If we've all got a good pass out then we'll have to do a loop to include uppingham, stanford and then ride the bourne road back to Melton as that is also a lovely road.

i wear my orange one to go to work at 5am:nana

You wear what you want dude we won't talk about you lol.

Spud, I'll be at Melton McDonalds at 8am and ready for a blast down the lane !

I'm an IAM associate with Northants Adv Motorcyclists... Are you going to take my RSV away from me now? :(

Some of them a scarily good on their big Beemers and Honda's. And on their R1's and 996's :)

mate who said anything about taking RSV's away:dunno

I've done an advanced course in cars but not got round to doing the bike. The principle is exactly the same just more hazordous on bikes given all the gravel and crap that collect at the side of the road.

Was it your bunch out last sunday:dunno There were dozens at Melton and i've seen the northants bunch a few times visiting our fair county.

I've just been on the met office web site.

Forcast for the weekend at the moment is rain sat in the north of the midlands and sunny outbreaks in the south. The sun will be spreading north into sunday and it should be dry with average temperatures(whatever that is)

This being the case i'll be out for a few hours to grab as much saddle time as i can before the gritters get their shiny yellow trucks out for winter.:jack

Yep, that was us. 1st Sunday is the Melton run.

I saw a few RSV's this Sunday, presumably you lot. One guy in silver leathers (RST I think) on his phone by his '01 Mille as I parked up who then wandered over to a group of three sitting at a bench.

Si yes that was us.:thumbup

I was sat on the bench with my brother (apriliakev) and a mate (gsxr750)when mattblack came in and hooked up with us.

You up for a ride out again this sunday or do you have another route?

Have a look at the thread 'seized up'. He was out sunday as well along the 6047 and his bike has dropped a valve. Made a right mess.

Loving the black 07 you have there. I was tempted with a black one but a silver one came up a few days after I sold the R1 and i had to make it mine.:inlove

Different destination this Sunday, Grafton Water I think.

Yep, I like my bike too :) Remus cans, Hooked airbox and it's going to get Griffed on Friday :doug I've only had it since June and already I've spent more on it than on both my previous ZX-6R's, and have done half the mileage that I did on those two combined...

Sorry I missed you lot, I went out Friday night partyin and did not get home till Sunday morning.
