Rev limit on 04 RFact

Hi guys,
I can set the limiter to 12k, is this normal and OK for the engine?

I'm aware that peak power and torque have been passed by this rev range, but on track sometimes being able to hold a gear for longer is advantageous. I think in my manual it says not to set higher than 11500, so why the 12k ceiling?

It's not a rev limiter, it's just a shift light that you can set anywhere from 6k onwards. Has no affect on the engine at all just for your info as to where you want to shift. The rev limit is hard coded into the ecu.

If you bounce an rsv off the limiter a lot it can get ugly.
