Recently upgraded Battery, now speedometer doesn't work, please Help!!!!

I recently upgraded my battery as the previous battery died through age, I got a high torque motobat battery. Now my speedo is has wiped my mileage and fails to show the speed, the rev counter works and the clocks appear to work, so its just the speed indication and mileage that is an issue. Can someone please shed some light on the problem please?

Milage re_setting is common if you leave the key in when you disconnect the battery nothing you can do about it now. Never heard of the speedo stopping though

I had the same issue mate, I've tried all the advice on here and am now on the lookout for a new sensor!!!

Yeh I suspect the speed sensor too, I think it's failure at the same time as a battery change is coincidental. I'm told the rs125 sensor is the same but much cheaper.
