Yeah, its fecking awesome now it works. Ive always liked the Rsv but the one Ive bought is more like a Tuono. All the fairings have been removed bar the bellypan, 3 inch risers with fat bars and a KTM 990 front end. Not sure if thats sacralidge around here but I think its what Aprilia should have made it look like from the factory!

Fancied a change and something a bit more upright cause the roads around here are back breaking with clip ons!

Yeah, I will be definitely be sticking with it. Most of the stuff I've read is just silly niggling problems so I can live with that. Was more annoyed with buying a pup than the bike itself! And neutral is a ***** on this. Is it something you just have to put with?

Glad you got it sorted mate, if he'd been honest it would have saved you loads of hassle :rant.
As for finding neutral, mine is an 04 factory and when I fitted an oberon clutch slave cylinder it did help.
Also, bleeding the clutch seems to help and if yours hasn't had the jet mod it's supposed to be worth doing (but i've not had it done)
Compared to my old ZZR commuter though (or any of my previous jap bikes), neutral is still a bit of a pain to engage.
Good luck :thumbup

Hi Steve, you didn't say if the bike was running OK now. Did you keep the old battery just in case there was nothing wrong with it ? (£60 is a good price btw)

Are you trying the buttons with the motor running ? i know some operations only work with the engine off.

I'm sure someone will read your post and give you the answer, stick with it !

Know a place in leeds called 5star batteries, got a yxt14 for my rsv,
Cost £30 or 35 inc post. Has it on for a yr or so now can't fault it,
Scared of getting the lazy start again sprag clutch went last time due to it,
Big bills,,

get an optimate matey, these bikes need to be hooked up all the time
The gremlins you are having will disappear into the ether when you find some nice twisties dude
