my rear tyres are only lasting 600 to 800 miles.
the one that only lasted 600 was maxxis supermax, not a bad tyre for the price.
the other is a pireli diabalo corsa.which has done 700 and is fcuked already.
what sort of milage are you lads getting.
on the plus side just fitted a power commander 3 and got a evo air box comming from af1:doug:doug
was going to put some pics on. but can,t work out how to put them on here.

Something sounds seriously wrong to get that mileage off a tyre,
Where is the wear on your tyres, what sort of riding are you doing, how many miles are you getting from a tank of fuel may indicate if you are on the power all the time

as for the pics, get yourself a photobucket account, host them there, then it is quite easy to link them and get them up here, drop me a pm if you need any help.

posh johnny im getting about 60 to 70 miles per tank.
it is getting ridden hard i also think it is my rideing style, just wondered what sort of miles you lads are getting.

Fcuk me. remind me never to go riding with you. i bet you lay darkies out of bends. knee down in the wet, and spend all you time on the straight bit on the back wheel. is your middle name HOPKINS, and i would always be buying the coffees. only up side is while your in filling up with fuel, i could catch up.

**** me mate i bet your back tyre is worse then badgers lol

ive done about 2k on mine but im by no means a hardcore rider im getting though lol oh and im gettin about 130 miles to a tank

I have modded your post to show your pics, the tyres look ok to me, something similar to a track day or a good hoon on a dry road, you must be riding hard to get such crappy mileage, did you know your bike has gears 3,4 and 5 too :)

no heroblob i live on the isle of man and get to cain it round the tt track not having to worry about the police that much.
and over the mounting there is no speed limet as you probley no.
its like have a racetrack in your back garden.

What better circuit to have right at your front door mate...whooooa envious indeed. With a circuit like that, what else could you be doing beside caning it every chance you had. No tyres r gonna last long riding that piece of black top...hail & respects ya lucky bugga. Aj

what did you rate the maxxis like dude?
they got a crap write up in a recent tyre test in one of the bike mags.
a good, fast rider will knacker the tyre and hammer the mpg much quicker than us poor mainland gatso infested riders, downside to be being
loon mate and living in the holy land as you do,lmao.
must agree with you, what a back garden you have!!
if i won the lotto,id move there without hesitation buddy.

Never mind the back tyre wear..How do you manage to ride with bo**ocks so bigg...::thumbup

That Isle breeds big bollocks on motorcyclists mate...or yer take up lawn bowls.

I run the Michelin Pilots and average around 5000kms per rear tyre with average hooning around. Certainly don't want your fuel usage tho..damn thats firkin thirsty.

I usually get somewhere near 3K from a rear tyre. I CAN squeeze 130 miles from a tank full but it's on vapour by then and costs near £20.00 to fill! Fuel light is on at 100 miles without fail.

As said above, your rear tyre looks OK to me. It's at the stage where I'd be thinking I need a new one before much longer but it's OK at that stage, to my mind anyway.

been to the island a couple of times and know the mountain reasonably well, brings back smiles and good memories. good luck to you mate what a wonderful commute from Ramsey to Douglas.:thumbup

my last rear tyre was shot in 900 miles Bt014
was due to rear suspension set up too soft
Am currently running bt002, done roughly 1500 miles on it but it'll be shot in another 250 miles if that.

Fuel consumption will be down aswell if you have played with the gearing
