Previous owner of my bike had a 180 profile rear tyre fitted. I take it the RSVR 2006 is supposed to have a 190 profile? What difference is this likely to have on the bike?

ive just tried a 190 for the first time ever and i went for diablo corsas for a change from bridgestone bt020`s all my last bikes had 180`s .cant say i find the 190 any better or worse ,it just feels the same to me .but i sure do like the diablos though lol .if your going for a 190 make sure its clear of the chain as not all 190`s are the same profile:thumbup

Just fitted a 190 55 Dunlop sport smart which im pleased to say has loads of chain clearance. But because I've had such a long lay off over the winter I can't say that I can tell much difference over the 50 profile other than the clearance which is a little strange as they are supposed to be the same width ?

standard fittment in the manual is 190/50 rsvr 180/55 Factory i believe...04 onward bikes

As long as you've got clearance I think it's personal taste; I prefer the 180 as it feels like it tips in more like a 600. Bear in mind that you might need to tweak the suspension a little dependant on how different the old/new rear profiles are in height

My 2007 RSVr came with a 190/50 Metzler Rennsport. I just got a smoking deal on a pair of Pilot Roads but the back is a 180/55. Anybody tried these on a Gen2?
