rear shock faulty?

can somebody tell me if the rear shock from rsv 04 factory will fit on my 03 version? or at least has somebody the measures/dimensions of the 04 and 03 rear shock?

It wont fit, atleast not with some modding and changing parts.

Im getting the aprilia parts on the weekend and can let you know the price of the ohlins shock if you will be interested.

that should be my second question. is there a way i can mod it so it will fit and work well?

As far as I remember its posible, but not many have done it. I think the length is diferent, so you will probably have to change the rod. Dont know for sure, I know that someone here or on AF1 forum has done it, but in my opinion its noth worth the trouble($).

wil gaz rear shock fit my RSV 03 just as an replacement or do i need the linkages as well if i swap the Sachs for Ohlins?

hello mate, no you don't need the linkages it's a straight swap Edwards rep is an 03 (sachs and ohlins use same linkage).
