1998 model.

1 Light stays on as it should, 1 light next to it flickers, when you pull the brake or apply the rear brake it lights up as should but still flickers?:

is this normal :confused:dowhat

thank you

Yep, should be solid - unless someone's fitted one of those special flickering bulbs (think they only flicker for the first five seconds anyway).

pull the back cluster out sounds like there is some crap on the spade clips on the back of the bulbs had same problem on mine clean them up and cover with a bit of lite grease:thumbup

Ditch the standard bulbs, the vibrations cause the filaments to break and cause failure of the bulb or flickering.

Best to fit LED's.

It just so happens I have some for sale too - Buy Me

I'll take £15 for them from a zone member.

PM me if you are interested.

Hi amb will these fit a 1998 model?

As long as you have the standard fitment bulb type then yes.

Do your bulbs fitted look like this - View Me

Note that it has two connectors on the bottom of the bulb and two pins either side. One pin on the side is higher than the other.

If yours are not like this then the LEDS I have will not fit.

Hi AMB just had the rear light cover off and its already got the LED bulb in, i just needed to clean the attchment.

Cool, just a ****** connection then, glad you fixed it.

Make sure you cover the rear terminals in some kind of sealant as the terminals are open to the elements and get all crapped up.
