I was having the same problem with my Gen 1, bleeding the rear brake lasted for about a week.
Then someone told me to hang a can of paint on the rear brake lever. I laughed at them.
After a couple of more bleeds i decided, f**k it, what have i got to lose. Now, as soon as it cools down, on goes a half full can of paint.
Unbelievably, it actually works, its been over a year and still plenty of pressure in it.
