Raw tech carbon

has anybody on here used raw tech http://www.raw-carbon.co.uk/

i bid on ebay for some carbon ears for my 05 rsvr and the box came from raw tech ,the ears where terrible quality with air bubbles and scratches all over em . i have contacted the seller who i dont know if he/she has any connection with raw tech or just forwards orders to them for dispatch , i await a reply . i wont mention the name of the ebay user on here in case they are on here also ,they deserve one last chance to sort a refund or get some quality items to me i guess ..NOT HAPPY!!!!!

anybody got any stories about raw tech??????????

Yeah, I've used them before.

Had carbon ears, exhaust hanger, heel plates and all were top quality.

Russ is the man to talk to at RawTech, pretty sure he'll sort this out for you.

Pretty sure AndiRSV's hugger is from Russ too, it's a shame if he's posted out poor quality stuff as it can ruin his reputation.

just spoke to russ and he said he is the same guy off ebay , to be fair to him he said he would get some more made and personally inspect em i should have them by thursday , just a bit miffed as i paid for them on 22/02/09 and have had some poor excuses on email from him . we will see if he comes up with the goods on thursday eh :rant

be honest with me do you think i'm being unreasonable with russ ? its just that i wont put crap on my bike , would you guys just say bollocks to it and put em on ??

I wouldn't have fitted them to my bike mate. No you're not being unreasonable at all.

Hi Kawa bud.........yeah i used Russ for ears and the hugger and both items were spot on. I hope yours is just a bad lot that got throught the net, you're right though,those aren't the same quality as mine.In Russ's defence he seems like a very reasonable guy and am sure he will see you ok.

yeah like i said earlier he did say he will sort it ,i have just lost faith a bit as its been so long since i paid and i got some emails that sort of left me thinking its my fault? but hey ho once i get em and they are top quality i will say on here , i dont want to run him or his firm down just wish he had been straight with me from the start. i tried to pm boyler but he never got back to me for some reason ?

hey boyler i wasnt havin a go at you mate ,upon reflection it looks like i was so am sorry mate,i was not trying to run you down on here and i know loads of lads on here swear by you and your work so no probs i realised it was some technical issue from your good reputation ...i want some infill panels(long things under tank 05 model) and a front mud guard if you can give me a price please ..oh and a hugger ;-)

Update on the rawtech issues

I HAVE NOW RECEIVED SOME REPLACEMENT CARBON EARS FROM RAWTECH CARBON . ONE OF THE EARS IS OK BUT THE OTHER IS AS BAD AS PREVIOUS (SEE PREVIOUS PICS ON THIS THREAD)

RUSS AT RAW TECH SAID HE WOULD MAKE SOME MORE AND PERSONALLY INSPECT THEM BEFORE DISPATCH TO ME HE ALSO STATED HIS CONCERNS ABOUT HIS REPUTATION ON THIS AND OTHER FORUMS ,ITS NOW BEEN WEEKS SINCE I PAID AND ITS STILL NOT RIGHT . I HAVE TODAY TRIED TO PHONE HIM BUT THE PHONE GOT SWITCHED OFF AS I WAS CALLING IT :angry I BELIEVE I AM A FAIR PERSON BUT WONT HAVE THE PISS TAKEN OUT OF ME..

DOES ANYBODY KNOW THIS RUSS GUY ? IF SO WILL YOU HAVE A CHAT WITH HIM ABOUT HIS QUALITY CONTROL AND TRY TO HELP ME OUT PLEASE ,I HAVE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH OF THIS ***** NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest that a full refund is in order , You could argue that under the "Sales of Goods Act" they are not fit for purpose.

Not good enough in my book so i agree entirely. There should be no excuse not to deliver the quality of goods expected especially the second time around. I'd go for a full refund and source elsewhere.

The quality on the items in the pictures is not good enough to be fitted to my bike, pretty dismayed if Russ has personally inspected and released those to you.

Only way to resolve this now is a full refund and contact Boyler mate.

already got boyler on the case with a mud guard and hugger bud ,i will try russ again tomorrow . Would you use them again after this ?
