So I've had the 2014 Tuono ABS V4 for about a week and I'm while still breaking her in I was able to hit some decent speeds (I couldn't resist) and noticed that the wind is a factor. I was looking into windscreens. any advise perhaps some pics? Do others have the same issue?

The wind blast is part and parcel of a naked bike my friend, "all the fun is under a ton" as we say here in the UK!
If you are doing long stretches on the motorway (freeway) I can see wind would be a factor and there are many different screens available on ebay etc its all down to personal choice.

PS The fuel tank acts as a good wind-breaker if you are on the back wheel! Rob

mra touring screen ...makes a massive difference and looks good toomra screen 3.jpg

As above, the MRA screen. There is an OEM touring screen from the dealer but they are about £200. I can now sit comfortably at three figure speeds, whilst without the screen I was flat on the tank and hanging on at 90+

Doesn't look as good as naked, obviously... but doesn't look too bad either in my opinion.

I have the Aprillia touring screen.

It cost around £130 from the dealers and fits the lines of the bike perfectly.

Wind protection is also pretty good and makes faster riding much more comfortable.

I also like the fact that it is clear as it blends right in with the bike.

Humbug mucker,,,,,,,the darker the better.

Bet yer jist like it cause it's yers and yer didnae fancy the batwing fooker.

Anyhoo, when're we gettin a hurl the gither. ?

I have the Aprilia touring screen. Totally transformed the bike. had it up to 220 KPH without windscreen, was very uncomfortable. I also felt the bike was unstable cause the front end was so light at that speed. With the new windscreen, no problems.

I also put on a set of APEX adjustable clip ons, trying to get a bit more weight on the front wheel. That worked well too. The clip ons are infinitely adjustable. I have them angled doq about 4 degrees, but with the rise at the maximum (4 inches)

Nice RSV4 :thumbup

I really can't understand the point of buying the best naked bike on the planet and then ruining the looks with an add on screen. None of the ones featured improve the looks and most make it look worse. 120ish in shortish blasts is no problem and this speed for sustained periods and you're going to lose your licence. Just work on those neck muscles....

Amen ta that! Rob

So why change the exhaust if the standard is so good and why change bar ends, rear shock for ohlins,, tail unit for rsv4, or put stomp grip on the tank we could just build our legs muscles up at the same gym when working on your neck muscles oh that's way were male and we like to customise or bikes to our own individual taste and I personally like a same wind protection that the guys on gen1&2 have on ride outs but why did these guys fit screens to there probably best naked bike at the time could've just build there neck muscles up as well?

Personal choice.

I prefer not to get buffeted on the occasional trip past the speed limit :lol

And in my opinion (which is the only opinion that matters to me) the V4 look just as good with the screen on.

And there is nowt wrong with my neck muscles or any other muscles :thumbup

A totally different point and one I don't quite understand your point in making. All bikes are built to a certain cost. By removing pillion pegs, fitting asv levers, an AR can and bst carbon wheels I'm making my bike lighter with less unsprung weight and hence quicker handling but retaining the design of the bike the experts at Aprilia had in mind. By fitting a screen to a naked bike you are changing the whole ethos of a bike. It's like you buying a soft top car and then complaining about the wind noise or moving to the country and complaining that it smells of animals. Just buy a bike with a fairing:banghead

Your view is relevant to you, but to me it's not.

I have pazzo levers and an AR pipe. Not for weight saving as I would probably save more weight by leaving my undercrackers off.

The levers were changed because the stock clutch lever has no span adjustment.

The exhaust was changed because I love the look and sound of the AR pipe.

At over 19 stone with my gear on saving a few gramms or a kg doesn't interest me.

As for "buy a faired bike" been there done that thank you. I have had a series of sports bikes, the last being a highly modded R1 that I traded for my TV4.

The reason that I wanted nekked bike is because I have much more room on it with the high bars.

My other hobby is powerlifting which is why i weigh 18 1/2 stone butt nekked and I was finding myself more and more cramped on the R1.

I loved my R1 and the manic nature of it, but had outgrown it. This is where the TV4 came in.

The TV4 still has the bonkers behavior that I like, but I don't have to fold myself in half to ride it and once I added the Aprillia screen it is perfect.

Sorry if that upsets you, but I don't really give a ****.

It's my bike and I will make it suit me, not you.
