When did that picture emerge over here, it has caused quite a stir for some time over at TLZone

I just wish that pic would crawl into some dark corner of the WWW and DIE :coocoo

ffs, it was taken almost 4 years ago I have changed a lot since then anyway.. :O

PJ: Crash made it into a smilie a month or two ago for some obscure reason, and I still hate him for it :rant :laugh

And I'm doing just FINE, thanks ! :laugh ;)

Never be ashamed of a picture like that Pumkin.
the answer would be, to take a new photo, same pose, and let us see the difference.

The hell I will !!! :dowhat :laugh

This doesn't exactly make me want to "pose" like that again, quite the opposite in fact. I think I've had quite enough attention for a while.. :laugh

Think we had better start talking about TL's again...:eatcorn i was trying my hardest to divert them away from the pic P'KIN :roll:thumbup

Sorry misunderstood me.... I aint to clear at times eh... Forearm got cramps as the clutch is a cable one, and while filtering, I am on the clutch alot.. PLus I have Barnett springs and kevlar plates in there...
The clutch is AMAZINGLY light on mine but then its got a hydrolic clutch insted of crapy cables (who wants to be ajusting that crap all the time..). Its got a very snactchy throtal though however slowly you open it you'll get a jolt in whatever gear your in (might be me getting used to my first ever FI bike but dout it)

other bad habit i need to get out of it letting off the power comming up to a cournor as its basicly like sticking the brakes on :D

Yeah v twin engine braking :devious gives the guy behind you on the rice burner a shock when he dont see any brake lights :devious:thumbup

TL talk ... nearly had one of those years ago but was put off by rumours of bad handling :dunno i think that was on the early ones though . Loved the sound of the twin then so i guess it was just a matter of time till i got a twin and the rsv does it nicely :thumbup

My TLS... Clutch is crap. I ride round the city so have beefed it up. And after riding hydro RSV clutch it feels even worse.
Handling wise.. sic of pub knowledge, SO many guys slag these off. Even garages selling me tyres, they suck in thro there teeth and shake their heads. :jack

The TLS has LOTS of torque, fantastic throttle response and sharp (fast)steering... stick a dope on it and it can bite back. Yeah if the shock goes off it all goes to ****, but hey what bike would'nt.
Must say, in a wet london on the TLS it will slide all over the place on a shut throttle, I know the RSV has a fake slipper but it is excellent when compared to the ol Suzuki.
I am only selling mine cos I am getting carried away... ebay is a dangerous thing. And when I get this Tuono:inlove I am hoping I can tune it to be as savage as the famous TLS:angry I want that supercharger!

Meanwhile..... :pumpkin:tounge2

All hail the Pumpkin

Well said Flick :thumbup.. old pub stories get a bit long in the toothe at times and if your bikes sorted like most need to be from stock then good on ya.. still like the TL's and like i say its still a hansome bike and sounds great :thumbup...............................................

.............. meanwhile P'kin :eatcorn

:dougMy son has a TL1000S (as stated earlier) and riding that was what got me into big twins. His has 'sorted' rear suspension (ohlin) so I can't speak about the original alleged problem. It has a full Scorpion racing exhaust system and sounds so sweet. It does attract plod attention though with it's noise. And there is a very funny story about that. maybe I'll share it with you another time. I love riding it but it really is an exteme riding position (an age thing?) therefore hell in town, plus the heavy clutch thing.
Out in the open it changes into something wonderful. I've had the back end lock up on me a few times when banging down the gears but it's usually over after a little sideways skip. My son, the owner, is not amused when following though - he kept thinking I'd lost it. AND, he can't do that when he's on my bike! Although he calls it his Ducati eater he doesn't call it an Aprilia eater:doug Result!

Wait till he hear's your rene high level twin pots bob :doug when he borrows it again i dont think you will get it back so quick :thumbup

My TL suffered from snatchy FI. Check if its got a TRE fitted, if not fit one it takes five minutes and transforms the bike at low revs. Cost about 20-30 quid on ebay.

Top bike the TL..........

Dunno really :confused I used to hear him from time to time, but the last time was during the bikeshow when he said he couldn't make it :O

c'mon pumkin, you're playing tease... again.....

when are you planning to tell these poor lads about the 100+ naked piccies we took of you on the rsv, eh?????

oooooooooppppppssssssssss.....................:biggrin
