Power commander help needed stat!

Me and my buddy are trying to install a pc3 on his bike. We have it connected to my pute and are trying to download the map. We keep getting a "device not communicating". We had problems at first with it not being found by the pute. It sat "power not found" and then we installed a driver and now this message. Please help. His bike is dissasembled in my drive and he needs to ride home tonight.

I have directions but they start at the point of being connected and downloading the maps. This shouldn't be an issue. What you sent should help but I can't get any of those links to open now. This is very frustrating.

Are you using the external 9v power supply? Even though it is connected to the bike with the ignition on, some will not communicate unless the external power source is connected....

It turns out that the disk that was included with the pc3 was version 3.1.8 and when I downloaded 3.2.1 from the Dynojet site, all was fine. BTW, all three tech guys at Dynojet were complete *****!
