CTD iv got a k&n filter on my gen 1 Tuono already fitted when purchased bike. bearing in mind I have a blue flame can with both baffles out(very loud) would I notice much difference in sound to my current set up? or would my blue flame just drown out any potential induction noise, cheers

You will definately hear the induction noise, and as said better responce and more midrange power.

as Tash says you would deffo notice the induction noise and throttle response increase, imo a very good mod, my gen 2 is running on Akraprovic Evo zorsts map 2 and didn't need any further messing with

Sorry to ask again, does the bike sort the fueling or do you need to make other mods. I feel a purchase coming on...daz

get your dealer to set map 2 if he hasn't already and your away (or at least i was), the ECU is able to cope with the airflow changes

How would I know if its already been done, the bike has no flat spots, race can and it has had a few owners. can you change map on gen1? thanks for imput guys.

Gen 1 shoul have 1 wire cut at the ecu, this should have been done at it's first service.

Mark

Thanks, what about the mixture/fueling, am I asking a stupid question? daz. If everything is ok, a filter system is on the cards, but if I need power commander etc ???? cost is always a consideration..

:banghead someone knows what they are talking about but who:banghead

Its the CTD loon........science overruled ower BS in this case!

Ah must be imaginin the rpm reduction:ponder

The only reason i bought my filter kit was because rico said it would drop the revs and i would save on petrol:bawling:dunno:banghead

thats a good idea where theres blame theres a clame, cant smell nothing this end Ash:lol:lol:lol

Best thing I ever did for fuel economy was changing to 15-42 sprockets, Power Commander, High flow air filter & custom Maps. I must manage at least another 30 miles on on a full tank before I need to refuel on fudd abouts. Reckon I must get at least 60 to the gallon.

I have been pondering on getting myself one of these...but I currently Mivv GP cans which have never been gone without the baffles - loud enough with them in.
Iam after the increased performace, i.e the low rev issue clearance rather than the noise - not too keen on chanig the sprockets. Rico, how much louder does the filter kit make the bike. See, my girlfriend and neighbours arent happy with the "nuisance" noise my bike makes and I would rather put this on hold if it makes the bike any louder. So far I have got away with it by arguing that the cans are for road safety purposes i.e cars can hear me coming from miles away... which is isnt all fibs.

I know what your fuel consumption is like TM and I wouldn't have said it was anywhere near 60 mpg.
Nearer 25 I would have thought.
Just saying.
