Just wondering - whats your opinion on part worn tyres.

I must admit I have used these for all bikes & cars (even my push bike).

Not all the time - occasionally I do stick new ones on.

I even put one on the back of my T last year (after I got a puncture) just before I went to Assen - I did not want to square off a new tyre.

I did give it a very good close inspection - it lasted till it was totally fecked, when I put a new one on.

I personally would not use part worns never .

Considering that you put your life on the line possibly , you just dont know the history of used tyres ie . how old are they , how have they been stored ,what are the side walls like. etc

I can see the short term benefit to get you out of the **** cash wise , but in the long run buy decent tyres ---- they may just save your life

Never had a part worn on the T. But I had a SV650 for 5 years and always got part worns on it. Had a mate who went racing every other weekend so got his old Metzeler racetecs that had only done a race meeting....sweet considering I got them for about one third cost. Never let me down but then again I knew where they had come from.

Given how much money I spent on the T and how much of a ******* bohemoth accerelation/torque wise it is...don't think i'd risk anything other than new.

Just my 2 cents

i have used them in the past and always buy from a private seller and collect in person so as to give it a good inspection
