Opinions on filtering

Right this may sound like a wierd question but do you filter down the middle of the lanes on a motorway.

I do, but the other day in traffic some nutter on a suzuki must have passed me at around 80mph! theres no way you can look in your mirror and manouvre and see this guy....all i thought all the way home was I could have killed him by just changing lanes..

Rant over....
 
I'll only filter down the middle of the lanes of a motorway when the traffic is stationary or very slow moving and then i'll be going at at a very careful steady pace.
 
Seen a few doing the same :dunno don't know why though.

Last year a guy on a gsxr pulled across to let me through and some :jack on an R1 shot through the middle of us at some ridiculous speed.

Nearly taking us both out, so now very wary buddy!

Hey steve dont you remember when you got us lost in london ? when we eventually got out and on the A1 we were filtering thro at 130+ :biggrin

Common sense prevails on this , as long as you keep it safe , I drive petrol tankers for the crust , i could write a book on the tossers ive seen , mate i see them every day:angry
 
do it everyday, normaly if the traffic is below 70 (on motorways) then i'll start undertaking/going down the middel. If theres people sitting in the middel/outside lane without overtaking anything they'll get undertaked and a look of pitty.

Yet to have come close to getting knocked off doing it (as far as im aware) and do it for 30 miles everyday. Alot the time i lane split purely because other C***S dont no how to use a motorway and just sit in whatever lane they want.
