Hi guys and gals,

I'm still pinching myself, but yesterday I actually bought that sublime black '00 RSVR I have been drooling over for the past month !!! :doug :doug
My bikedealer/friend (and forum member) cwalker held on to it for me until now, declining the offers of 6 other buyers who handed him the full asking price in cash ! :dowhat :coocoo
I haven't sold the Raptor yet, it obviously is the worst season to sell anything, so I plundered my savings because It just wasn't fair to let Walker go on like this, and because I wanted the RSV SO bad I dreamt of it nearly every night :dowhat :laugh

:inlove Yes.. it is LOVE.. :inlove

So.. I went to the bikeshop yesterday and closed the deal on that black stunning object of my affection !! :banana
I took care of all the paperwork, insurance etc. yesterday, so I'll pick her up this afternoon !!
I don't care how horrible the weather is, I can't wait to throw my leg over my new baby and take her for a ride :banana
I regret not having any pics at the moment to show her off, but I will very soon.. By god I will..!! :devious

Cheers guys!

yours truly with a HUGE, persistant grin on her face :biggrin:biggrin

:cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers

Congratulations on yer new bike,I noticed your profile says your from Mayo country, what country is that?

I think I'll have to adjust my profile as it seems nobody knows where Mayo is the national sauce :laugh ;) it is.... Belgium :devious

Hi Pumpkin.I visited your beautiful country three years ago.Me and a mate went to Spa and camped for three nights for The Biker Classics.Spa is a superb circuit but it rains nearly as much as England!Good luck and enjoy your RSV.REGARDS AL('01 matt black/red).

Thanks, Al !

Yes, Spa/Francorchamps is a top notch track, I haven't ridden on there yet but I'm sure that'll change :)
And the rain.. yes it isn't exactly sunny California, but we've gotten used to it eh :laugh

Hope all goes well pumpkin :thumbup, i too will be picking up my mille in a weeks time and cant wait :thumbup

It seems that quite a few 2000 rsvr's have surfaced and been snatched up.:biggrin

Hope you enjoy yours as much as the rest of us!!:thumbup

Well done mate, welcome to the brother (and sister) hood!:thumbup:thumbup

You won't regret it - just remember it makes fast seem slow until the bend appears!:biggrin:eek::biggrin

Soooooo.. :devious

I picked up the RSV yesterday evening and took her for a 70mile ride, mostly boring highway but with all the salt, leaves, general wetness and night falling I wanted to take it easy..
Nevertheless I had to slalom through long traffic jams for at least an hour, and got a chance to test the brakes because some c*nt slammed hers completely down for no reason while doing 70mph... :fire
The brakes are superb though, and so is everything about the bike.. My god, the suspension is just awesome, so is the handling, it responds with great subtlety :hail :hail :hail
What can I say, I'm totally and utterly hooked !!! :love2:love2:love2
I went at least seven times into the garage last night to check if she was really REAL :biggrin

This morning I returned home happy and safe, after another 70miles and dodging traffic and I reluctantly put her in her stable just now.. I might get her out again this afternoon though

Here are a few snapshots from this morning.

By the way, a big thanks to cwalker for his patience, prepping the bike and being an overall great guy :hail
