OMG!! I bought an RSV!!!

Map 2 is only relevant to 04 onwards bikes, to alter the earlier models you would change the chip, but in my experience the standard chip is best, i have tried a few and went back to the standard chip, the fueling adjusts itself if you fit a can or change airbox etc., so you do not need to fit a chip as some might let you believe:biggrin

As Badger says in the link above I was told not to do anything when I had the race can fitted and also later by an Aprilia dealer orignal is best.........

That's a really great bike you've got there Pumkin :thumbup. I love those early black millie R's

I checked my 2000 mille yesterday and the blue green wire's been cut. If your saying these early models doesn't need this to be done, what effect will this have :O

Also, where do I check if the standard chip is fitted as my bike has a Scorpion can so it may have been changed :O and what would the standard chip say on it :O

so many questions ...sorry guys

Appologies to Pumpkin for thread jacking :biggrin

Wire is cut coz it is derestricted, this is OK.

The ECU box is the alloy box with the rubber lid over it, this is where the chip is located, i do not know the code for the standard chip in your bike, check with a dealer:thumbup

Hi Pumpkin

Great looking mille, you're gonna love it. The 2000 RSVR's are the best, of course I am not biased at all.....

Noooooo not at all :devious :laugh

Yesterday I accompanied my friend to his thaibox training.. He was on his '01 RSV and I on my '00 RSVR.. Needless to say we made quite an entrance :laugh

Yes i made quite an entrance yesterday at a Harley:puke Buell day in southampton, nearly forgot to put the front down:lol:lol:lol

Could have been worse, you could have stalled it .. then had to try and start it by the left hand kickstart :lol:lol:lol "KTM" :thumbup

There is a nice harley shop near me and all the shop come out when they hear the mille coming as its louder than anything they got, i guess they think its a harley coming as its a v twin sound but they all get a shock when they run inside with ears bleeding :yes.. max revs gearchange down to the lights :megaphone outside the shop :devious

Hah same here RSVsteve... both shops I've stopped at all come out to see what kind of bike is making that sweet music. The Aprilia is always a hit. Pumpkin take care of that RSVR... I'm jealous of those wheels. :love2
