older/later rsv engine

hi mates... can anyone tell me what is interchangeable between the older (99-03) and later(04-09) rsv engines? thanks

someone fitted 04-09 heads onto an early engine on the aprilia forum but dont think it was a straight swap..mind you for an extra 10bhp sounds like a good move:thumbup

i have the larger 03' heads on my 01'...however the previous owner did this so I'm not sure if its a direct bolt-on kinda thing,

i thought 03 and 01 heads were the same. 98, 99 and 2000 were the original heads, revised for 01, 02, 03 with large valves, etc......then revised again for the 04 RSVR and Factory

yep
thats as far as i understand it
the 03 got the close ratio box aswell from then onwards
