i noticed on the forum some people have owned and old model then bought a new then gone back to the old. What's the pro's and what's the cons. I'm thinking of upgrading and would like to know what people didn't like about the newer model

Not had the old model but the gen 2 is sweet, go for post 04
most of the gremlins sorted by then(clear indicators & brake light)

Me too for gen2 as Shane not had a gen 1 but im sure aprilia wouldn't go back the way in terms of evolution, get the suspension set up for you and it will feel like a different bike ..

well mines a 2000 model is that a gen 1 or 2 ? ..... bryan i still have mine wheres yours lol

Some donkey down in Carlisle at the garage i traded it in is probably been sacked and sent home wi the bike lol it had a few gremlins not to mention a buckle in the front wheel he he serves them right,Hey m8 you have to get a shot o this thing it is ****** **** hot i never knew you could go so fast round a corner so easy,on the ape i used have to wrestle the thing about and it would be hard work on the road ,but this is so easy my arms don't hurt and i'm much quicker, going to try and get some track time l8r in the month i reckon i'll be at least 5 seconds under my previous best ,mind you going round knockhill wi a buckled front doesn'y lead to fast lap times.
Do you fancy a shot at knockhill Biff??????

i would love to try a spin roon knockhill bryan but dont fancy crazy fuckers fleein past me or even into me lol .plus my bikes to nice for gravel rash lol , but yes i would be up for that how much does it cost bryan ? .hey lol i dont fancy them twats telling me how to take a bend i can manage that myself :)

Biff youd be fine up there m8 there are alot of want to be rossi's wi all the gear but no idea, its split into groups novice and intermediates which i'm in and intermediates and experts(they aren't really) better off wi me in the slow group and once you get to grips wi it go a wee bit faster there isn't any pressure to go fast and in this group i haven't been over taken so that'll give you some idea, its run in sessions of 20mins for the sessioned track night it costs £55 ,open pit night cost a bit more at £80 and the best one to go on is the begginer night its around the £90 but its an open session for two hours and there are no numpties on it and it lets you learn the track wi no muppets trying to run you off,if you take it easy you wont come off ..two easy laps to let the tyres come up to temp then your off, i'll have a look and pop up some dates i was thinkin of going this saturday but i dont know what the weather is doing and theve only two spaces left so i don't think ill bother but im still up for the run on sunday..
