OIL - Just bought 15W 50 AGIP from flee bay?

Hi guys,

Probably already a thread on here somewhere but thought I would refresh things as I couldn't find anything on the search bar.

What oil do you use in your tuono?

I decided to go for what was recommended in the book after finding some on flee bay ( AGIP 15W 50 )

Has to come from Germany which is a pain but I'm sure its best to run whats recommended, although I can't confirm if its fully or semi-synth!

Be interesting to know what you all prefer or whats best?

As long as it's engine oil it'll do the biz.

A gazillion posts on the subject and took knows how many technical add on.

Bottom line mucker,,,,,,,,,,,any anti foaming engine oil will do,

NAE doubt the small mile purists will tell yer differently.

Mucker as long as it's got the level correct yer machine will be fine.

If abod wae a rotax v60 engine can prove otherwise then post up yer evidence.

Hope you did'nt pay too much for the Agip.Its probably new,old stock as they have changed their name to ENI a few years ago.
There is a million,or more oil threads on this site and everyone uses something different.Using the recommended brand and weight oil is fine and dandy,but dont get too hung up about it.I usually have 15/50 Motul semi in my bike.Its fairly cheap and can get it at my local dealer.
A lot of folks use 10/40 oil with no probs.We rarely get the extreme temps in the UK,so it should be fine.I'll probably try it on the next change as it can be a lot cheaper.

I always use 10/40W as you say our temps are well within the range of the oil and it is a lot cheaper

And again here , 3 tuonos and all were fine ........ so far !!!

Thanks for the replies, maybe I'm being a bit over sensitive with the bike, I just want to look after it and make sure it holds its value!
