Hello all,
I've always loved Aprilia's but just never made it happen.. I was a hair away from picking up the new Monster 1200 when the Tuono sitting across the Isle called to me. She was a beauty. So I switched gears (no pun intended) and put a deposit down on a black Tuono. Should be here within a week.. I'm totally psyched!! I traded a Bmer ADV in for her and she will keep company with my Triumph Sprint GT.. Nice yin and yang combo!

Look forward to learning about this bike and its riders!!

Hey Caveman, I'm in Queens and recently pulled the trigger on a matte black 2014. you wont regret it. I wasn't considering the Monster but I think you made a great choice. They are not popular in the states and I think you and I may have the only two in NY Metro area LOL.. sounds like you went to gold coast?

People are always stopping me and asking what bike is that...I take it as a complement.

Hey Nero, I'm in the burbs just north west of the GWB. 20 minutes or so.. Former Astoria-ite. Real glad I chose this over the monster. They are going to be all over the road in a year or two and our Aprilia's will have that Italian boutiqueness to them. The only drag is I was supposed to get it today and now they're saying next tuesday the earliest... Argh!!!! I hope it rains this weekend :)

Look forward to getting and and pics will be posted... I'm loosing my mind right now though!!! I think you're right about the black. There are white ones availabe and this had to be hunted down.

If you ever do the bear mountain/9w run and are up this way let me know!
 
Caveman, im looking forward to get your intial reaction to it. I will definitely let you know when im heading to bear mountain.

I plan to ride all weekend so im hoping for no rain. Im still trying to break her in weather permitting.
 
Will definitely post my thoughts when I finally get the thing. I hope the weather's good for your sake even though it will torture me :)
I still have my Sprint to ride but that's my weekday commuter and I"m a little bore of it come weekend play time.
 
Just picked it up and rode back to work with it.. Awesome machine.... Tons of power and great sound.. Handles nicely too I just have to adjust the rear spring. It's a little tight. I was getting bounced off the bike at times so I'll have to get to that when I get home..
Overall great bike. Can't wait to have it broken in fully.
