Number Plate Size

What size number plate do people run on their bikes. I put my standard on for the MOT and it looks ****.

I want something smaller, but not something that draws instant attention to it.

I was thinking 8 x 6 or 7 x 5.

Regulation size is 9 x 7. Mine's 8 x 6 with the letters/numbers still regulation size. Looks much better than full size but doesn't look so small that it draws the attention of the old bill.

My plate's 8" x 6" but the letters are scaled to suit I think :dunno Also got a GB border down the l/h side.

Guy I bought it from was ex copper for ten years,he said he'd never had a problem with it.

Be interesting when MOT time comes round.

HI mate mine is 7x 4 1/2 just orderd a new one 7x5.5 but had it on for 2years and had no problem

Regulation size:whocares, font and spacing after being pulled a few too many times:banghead, As it is i have to explain away the akro race can and dark visor:devious. why give em anymore ammo :dunno

Mine's 8X6 with slightly smalller numbers to suit. Had it on for the last 3 years without an issue, touch wood of course

How do you explain the cans then?

7"x5" for me. no probs with old bill. Arrow race cans have e-mark, so only a plod having a bad day will give me a 14 day wonder for no baffles.

Mines 8 X 6 with slightly smaller numbers, not been stopped in almost 3 years and despite having a pair of non legal Leo-Vinci cans on.
