not sure . need help. please

turned on key hit starter button dash went out rev counter went nuts . turned key off then dash lite up rev counter still bouncing.checked starter solaniod bat terminals etc turned key on,off a few times it started so rode straight home. started missing . sounds like there some good advice been givin on this site .my bike 03rsv . any one had this before? if so please help

hi dennis,battery needs a good charge, every mille i've had has done this, don't ask me why,forever re setting dash!! .mille's. seems to chew batteries. check and clean battery and solenoid terminals, pull the two main fuses out from under seat and clean the terminals..mine were slightly corroded, also check ht leads are tight, just replaced mine. if still missing fit new plugs. if this does'nt help contact me again bud.

The batt cancause truble with nae warning either happned to me twice and just started playing up like urs this week,arg

thanks guys hope it only a dead battery as that the cheapest option to start on ..new solinoid about a year ago and thought it all good till the other day. thanks again will get battery and keep you posted

finely battery turned up the other day so did my silly little smile [ you know the one from ear to ear ] then noticed how much work around the house i had done when my toy is broken.so left it in the box till sunday night, [no silly smile on my dail now ] but how ever ITS BACK ..and the house got painted too..next week end i off to kill a tire or two ..thanks for the help every one. good bunch of blokes on this site should spend more time on line [now the bloody house done ten years and six bikes later] thanks again
