Newark rideout

Personnally Sprocker considering road conditions the pace was about right, will be faster in summer, but at the end of the day mate the pace will be set by the slowest man on the day, if you noticed the more confident riders positioning changed, did a stint at the back, midfield and then the front, our rideouts always work like that, nobody is left behind and nobody is made to feel they should be going harder, its all about meeting, having a laugh and returning home safely :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

Sorry lads would have been out for a jaunt if I'd have seen the posts about the rideout was ummming and arrring about going out but didn't in the end and stayed in and changed all the brake pads on the the bike and then started to give it a service plus a few other bits,As I said to little one a while a go we will be doing a rideout early in the new year so when it says we will have some half decent weather one weekend we'll get a rideout sorted.

Rsvr47 and bad boy ! Thats what i call commitment riding all that way :thumbup, snow eh . Hope i never slowed you down too much on the way back littleone . The pace was fine by me , all taking different positions now and then and no one left behind :thumbup. Better road conditions and warmer weather will see some more action .
Glad you got your knee down on the way back rsvr47, keep them knees warm now and then :thumbup.
Look forward to meeting up again and some more newbies :thumbup

Pace was fine on the way home Steve, Everyone has gotta stop worryin about the rideout pace, to be honest i dont care if its at 50mph or 150mph im there to meet the people and take the piss out of Badboy (its my job)

STOP WORRYING :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

I agree mate...but it was only a quick 20 minute blast,as oposed to a inter-continental ride out... (where you do all the swapping around etc)so none of us really got to stretch our legs as it were.Mind you the road conditions were a bit crap, lost the back twice!!.
Nice to meet you all tho .:thumbup

Not worried at all Little1, at no time did I feel pressured to go faster I was well within my comfort zone and as you say the pace is always set by the slowest, and it's as you say...all about meeting new peeps and having a laugh :thumbup

Catch you next time out Sharky :thumbup

Anyone else got some pics :dunno mine were a bit crap

Sproker mate, have you had someone look at your speedo/dash? is it deffo fekked? is everything dead or is the odometer and stuff ok
PS-Have a good New Year!
Ck

Hi,

Looks you had a good day out yesterday, sorry I missed it. I did start out yesterday morning but only got 500yds before my dodgy PCIII crapped out and left me to push me bike home. Then spent 2 hours stripping it down to find out that the connectors on my old PCIII are crap.

Have now ordered a nice shiney new one off the T'Internet so my 500 yd Sunday Morning Blast out cost me £251.00, bargain - Not.

Let me know when the next one is and I'll try and make it with my nice new PCIII.

Happy New Year
Chris

Sprocker I have the same probs as you I think with the sensor for speedo etc. When I get the chance I will get my one off to check if its ****** or just got water in somewhere. Its only a ****** little part so should be cheep enough I had a quick rub around in between the disc and the sensor but it made no difference. I reckon it must be moisture in where the wires go into the sensor after washing it.:dunno

Isnt "My Speedo stopped working Officer" a get out of points free card..at least the once anyway???

Sorry to have missed all the fun guy's firstly looks like i got day wrong then didn't check back on site follow follow up info unfortunately.Glad you had great time and definately count me in for Newark next time.

I checked it out with a voltmeter and was getting low voltage on one of the tests according to the manual. The rubber gaiter is split as it enters the sensor so water is getting in there. It did it after I got the bike on the ride home and it was pissing it down. It then worked after it dried out but then I washed it the other day so it must have got water in again :angry

£60 for a new one :roll and I keep looking on e-bay.

Graham...I wish that was true matey lol
