Well it's finally here and tucked away in the garage waiting for dry weather, not snow rain and sleet WTF.

Pictures to follow.

Congrats , bet it's getting lots of looking at ? I'm still cuddling my f/spindle titanium nut from pro bolt !,.

Spit roast for you then Rizla, yes they do have some attractive bits on their site

Giamoto both ends for me.

Beautiful Ti axle nuts :thumbup

Fit front and rear https://www.giamoto.com/product/titanium-rear-wheel-nut/

Rizla, when you fit these nuts do you use any particular type of lube on them.

Reason I ask is because I fitted titanium bolts to my front calipers, I torqued them correctly but when I went to remove them,,,,,,,,,,,,,fookkin 'ell they were tight.

That was titanium to alloy don't know if they react differently to steel. :dunno

Just a couple of quick shots to prove it has happened. Bring on the sunshine, or dry weather tbh.

Aldo , they should be coated with anti seize grease , they have supplied a tube with my purchase .

Aye mucker, I was unaware of the bolts reacting so when they were out I got some anti seize compound and stuck it on.

Learn somat new every day mucker. :thumbup

My wife offered to buy me a Tuo 1100 Factory, but I still love the v2 (sorry if I am repeating myself) might get diff F/Discs and more bling and a visit to A/P I think :thumbup

I am with you on that Snowman, I love the look of the V4 factory but having ridden my sons RSV4R it only really has the legs over the twin one the wrong side of a ton, ok it brakes and steers better but the difference overall to me wasn't worth the huge cost to change so have spent some money on the Twin that I love and it's currently at AP having a 1060 conversion, big bore headers and evo airbox kit :lol

Just wish Griff would hurry up and get it back to me.....

Re. Titanium Bolts...

Not an expert here... but we all know that whilst Titanium is lighter than mild & s/s, it is also more brittle! My old Titanium exhaust, with no insulation left in, went extremely brittle, cracked and blew a hole in itself... but the heat was largely to blame for that!

I was advised that whilst Titanium bolts/nuts are used on racing bikes, they change them for new every few races!

So, is use of Titanium bolts/nuts for long term use on road bikes really a risk, and has anyone looked into this?

Used anti seize.

I've got titanium fasteners all over the bike and never had one bind up or seize.

Axle nuts
Fork pinch bolts
Too yoke pinch bolts
Bottom yoke pinch bolts
Calliper bolts front
Calliper half bolts front
Calliper bolts rear
Disc bolts front
Disc bolts rear

Think thats it [emoji106]

If you look closely I still have my V2 2007 10k mint wont part with it. The R1 may go but yet.
