New Tyres

Small world eh mate:cheers

I'm betting it's the bike I test rode at the time I was looking for my bike. I had a tough time tossing up between your new bike, and a gen II Tuono. I must have gone to see it three more times after I rode it trying to make a decision.

I eventually ended up going for a new gen II obviously, but I really loved that "Aprilia red" gen I that you now proudly own. An exceptional bargain, methinks.

Dave

Definately the bike you tested Dave. My Mrs decided she wanted to get her liscense and a bike so the Gen 11 was not an option if we were getting 2 bikes & i personally dont like the new bikes rear end to the old one... but i could live with it if i could afford it.. hehehe
I gota say i love this thing i talk to it like its a person.
Sooooooo much more comfy than my CBR 1100xx, suspension ***** all over the blackbird, brakes **** all over the blackbird, change of direction due to weight & handlebars ***** all over the bird also.... Wot the **** was i doing ridding a jap bike? Cant believe how stupid ive been.... May c u in Twnsvl soon.. cheers Towie

I've been really happy with a pair of Avon Storms. More stick than I can use (I haven't done any track riding on them, but have scotted along pretty quickly at the gap and all over the rockies on them), last well and better on wet or dirty roads than anything else i've tried:thumbup

I just put the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa's on...absolutely love them. They're probably too much tire for me to be honest, and certainly not suitable for the street (beyond canyon carving). I've never had Pirelli's before, but I'd slap a pair of Diablo III's on a street bike and not think twice about it. :thumbup

Thanks fellas will need a newy on the back in 2 months so will look into the Avons and Diablo 111's.
Was not impressed with the Diablos i had but so far these Pilots feel bloody fantastic, too early to judge wear but hey they are all sacrificial we dont buy tyres for a T and expect 8 -10 thou out of em unless your a nancy boy....im only just above the nancyboy level....

Dead right about our highways Towie. :banghead
Too many kliks between towns in OZ. Too many straight roads. As Towie says, get orf the main drags and into the hills for some fun.

Yes the first is the drovers road over the top and down into Applecross. The second is past Tomintoul on the road to Granton on Spey, near the Brig O Broon
