New tyres with high mileage?

Greetings All,
My 2003 RSV Mille is due an MOT and I reckon the rear tyre will fail. I am a very steady rider and should really buy a slow bike (!), but luv the RSV looks and everything about it. Given my steady pace I'm looking to get some tyres that will last for a few thousand miles longer that the track day sticky stuff.

Would be grateful of any advice of what to go for.

Mate is getting great mileage out of the 3CT's Michy's on his Ducati street fighter 1098 & he ride very hard with me & my mate on his V4Tuono ...... Other mate is getting a good run out of some Z8's Metzys also

Pirelli angels for me. Just fitted so not tried them out much. Had pirelli stradas on a fireblade and they were superb. lots of miles and still had them worn to the edge.
Read good things about the angels so fingers crossed
