New Tuono Factory 2009

Hi

Hi Nick/Everyone,

I'm near Cardiff too and am now in my second month of Tuono ownership, its a 2008 Tuono Factory and ive already begun modding :thumbup

It'd be good to meet up with a fellow owner when you get it :cheers. I havent been up to Brecon on it yet, but ive done nearly 1,000 miles so far!! mainly around the Vale. great fun

Matt

Dear o' Dear. thats one georgous motorcycle. Sounds bloody good too. Lucky *******!! Well done. Enjoy it! Like Aaron slight once said to me...keep the shiny side up!

Hi HM that is a cracking colour scheme. Mine is the faiground colour scheme but I have fitted your '09 seat - very Gucci and Dorsaduro front indicators to sharpen up the front end. I was admiring your levers and they are next. Enjoy your superb machine. By the way switch the front sprocket to 15T at the first service. Vast improvement still. :flip

Yes I just put a 15T sprocket on my 04 racing and it has made a good difference...

Nice one Nick...... :thumbup

Have the same bike and pipes on order myself and was wondering on the fitting of an alarm and how it would work alongside the factory fitted immobiliser.

Be interested to hear if you get any issues with this.....

Cheers Gav

Hi all,

yeah thanks for the responses re the bike. I have changed the front sprocket to the 15T and have also put the gold rear one on the back too, so happy days.

The alarm is the datatool red 2 (i think) apparently its a good one, though my previous experiences with alarms have been less than favourable.

The alarm shouldnt interfer with the factory immobiliser as that is part of the key system within the barrel, therfore seperate entities. Correct me if im wrong though?

The levers have made a great difference and really make the look cool. Got some headlight protectors aswell as dont fancy cashing out any more on replacement headlights.

Does anyone have any experience with rad protectors, as Charles in Kickstart said that Aprilia have stated that one of the reasons the clock mist is due to this and restricted airflow? They will not cover warranties with these on, or so they say?

Cheers

Nick

PS would be good to meet you matt, I live in church village so not far. Perhaps we can get together for a blast sometime?

Now that's interesting on the rad protectors as was thinking of going that that line myself having suffered a few chunks out my Falcos.

And good info on the alarm....thanks

Cheers Gav

Hi Nick, I'll be out and about on the bike this weekend if its not chucking it down again, let me know if you're about and we can have a run out :cheers

how does the misting clocks thing happen if you dont have rad protectors fitted then? it just sounds like aprilia trying to dodge warranty claims!

Hi Matty,

The weather should be quite nice this weekend, fingers crossed so should be out on the new bike. Where were u thinking of going?
I am out with a mate on Sat if his misses allows lol, so let me know and we can meet up.

Cheers

Well, i have just had the 600 mile service and wow!!!!!!

managed to get a few miles from work over Brecon and my god how good is this bike?
Had so much fun on the way home from work, makes me want to do it everyday lol.

The seat has still got the black marks on it from my leathers, but Paul and Charles at Kisckstart have said they will get me a new one, no probs.

tried everything to clean it, but no joy. Going to try one last thing (nail polish remover) but dont hold much hope?

Might even get it rehupolstered, if anyone knows of someone decent?
Will wait and see what Aprilia say through dealer 1st though!

Love the bike too bits, roll on this hot summer we promised lol?

HM
