Yesterday put on new shiny Roadsmarts II to find flat rear in the morning. I'm probably cursed this is the second time, same happened with my previous set (( Luckily its in the middle and not big )) Do I need to do anything after the RAC repair the tire?

Like what?:confused
I'd just keep an eye on the pressure and try and avoid sharp objects.

I'm not sure if RAC does it as temporary fix and then you need additional repair at the garage so that a tire is safe at high speeds for example

Depends on their temporary fix,I guess. If they just fill the tyre with gloop,or something,...then yes get it to a tyre depot for a better repair. If they use a proper tyre repair kit,I would have thought it would be fine.
You can get diy repair kits for around £30 and they are small enough to shove under the seat.

A few years back, I had a self tapper in the rear tyre of one of my bikes, DK's of Newcastle u lyme put some pink goo into the
tyre, sealed the leak. Did approx 3000 odd more miles after that without a hitch.

used them to put that set on, but they on the other side from my place. didn't want to risk and damage the tire, used the local garage instead (Big Jim Rims)

D min..wiz it definitely a puncture an nae jist flat.

When ah got mah new rear fitted a month or so ago it wiz flat by the time ah got the wheel hame. It appears the bead hadnt seated cleanly on the rim.

Maist tyre fitters will blo the tyre up tae set it on the rim then let the air oot a bit then take it up tae the right pressure again. Ah reckon the lad that did mine didnae check it had sealed right. Good job it wiz jist the wheel ah put in an didnae hae tae ride the bike an get a flat halfway hame.

Puncture defo - bloody screw

got a puncture myself at the weekend and had a right mess on trying to find a place that would actually repair the tyre, as soon as I mentioned the tyre size and the ZR rating everyone refused to repair it but did offer 'competitive rates for replacement tyres':crazy eventualy got it sorted for £15 but the phone calls must have cost a bit :banghead

I had similar problem at start of year running in a new tyre first time out picked up a nail, flat tyre next morning course never noticed it immediately, or should I say the mate I let take it down the road who came back " funny handling" didn't of course the wall was ****** by that stage.

Had 2 punctures on the T so far...

1) Day i bought it,on the ride home rear tyre went bang in the fast lane of the motorway bout 80 - 85mph.... not nice - finished the trip home in a recovery van.

2) Replaced both tyres with Corsa 111's - less than 200 miles later i got a puncture (rear tyre again) :(
had it repaired but it was "never rite". Slightest wiff of gas and the Back end moved around far too easily. Maybe it was just a bad un, maybe it was damaged.... dunno but was glad when it wore out and time to replace it. Looking back, wish i had bit the bullet and junked it.
Replaced with BT23's, done 3k so far and no punctures..... yet !

:)

I am ultra fussy when it comes to oil and filter changes, drive chains, sprockets, and tires. For me, the repair gets me home then the tire is replaced. No excuses, it is replaced brand new or miles on it.
