Just bought a Mk1 Factory which I'm luvvin until I road it home in the dark! The headlights are shocking. I think that the ride height on the rear shock is probably wound right up which makes the headlight aim low but the full beam is really weak. Is this normal ? If it is normal what's the easiest way to improve them and can I do anything to keep the dipped beam & full beam on at the same time?

1. adjust the beam.

2. just hold the pass button on wae yer finger.

3. if that's nae use ride during Daylight.

4. if that's nae use slow doon.

5. if that's nae use, get rid of yer machine.

6. if the above is of no use.

7. **** Right Oot ya feckin FUD.

Greetings Cruddles,
perhaps you may have thought about your intro before :-
1. Slagging your bike off.
2. Diving in with questions.

I am sure you have studyied the et-e ket.

Thern perhaps you may have received some sound advise (or should that be en-lightening).

Now have another go.

fook all wrong with the headlights.. infact probably the best headlights i've ever had on a bike... bike headlights are ***** 99% of the time anyway.. the trick is to get yourself adjusted to the darkness.. it's a good idea to blank out any bright lights on your dash, as this means your brain doesn't have to account for the exposure of these and can concentrate on the road ahead.. although it's only really practical if your a hardcore night rider..

Flak jacket and body armour in place - sorry chaps, bit of foot in mouth on my part!

Wasn't meaning to slate the bike at all, I've never owned "The Perfect Bike" but I think that this is the closest I've found yet. I love all the little details on the bike and the engine is just stonking!

The headlights and the non existent back brake are the only issues. I've found plenty of info on the brakes but nothing on the headlights.

I've adjusted the beam, I'll check that the bulbs are the right ones next and if they are I'll maybe start looking at HID bulbs.

I do expect to be riding in the dark a fair bit so it's something that I want to get sorted.

Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated thanks.

That was a bit better.

What about a bit of history of your biking ?

Where in the world you ride etc.

Then you can join in & start taking the piss out of everyone - a bit at first, dont over-step the mark !!!

You would probably describe me as a Southern Poofda - based in Hampshire, close the the A272. Had various bikes over the last 25 years (an Old Southern Poofda) best of which were an FZR 1000 & a 955 Speed Triple, worst was a Fazer 1000 - just had no soul. I've had a Husky Supermotard for the past 3 years which in it's element (twisties) is great fun but out of it's element (fast A roads & Motorways) is just hideous. Always fancied a Tuono so I'm planning on keeping the Husky and having the T as my proper bike.

welcome on board cruddles, enjoy the T mate just dont ride at night and use the engine as a back brake simples

Good plan Cuddles,
I think a few of us on here have a second bike for alternative riding.

Cuddles, much better intro chap....but we still need to know your bank details please

Oh yeah....and your missus.....we need to know all about her too.....pictures would be good....

Look at the size of those foot prints.

She must have size 18 feet with claws like a grizly bear.

oh no.........nae a nither 'introduce yersel first' moan. Cruddles...you've bought a T, that's good enough for me. My Gen 2 failed it's last MOT for the lights been too high. Had to do a couple of wee adjustments to get them low enough to pass. The strange thing is though...I think the dpped lights are brighter then the main beam.
Welcome aboard min.

Tbh I find the lights oan my Tuoldo to be really good you might just need tae turn the wick up oan it

Headlight, now there's a thing. I was out with a couple of reprobates from this wonderful forum & one said my headlights were *****. Bit of an understatement, both bulbs had blown & I didn't know. What did I do? Simple, next stop, swapped bulbs from their bikes - 1 from each, and they still don't know. Well they might now, and will be out checking. Cheers lads.:thumbup
