New levers great value

they've arrived

As I said earlier, following other comments, I'm gonna be measuring em up carefully

Gotta tell yer though boys, they look they look the absolute daddy dogs bollocks. £34 delivered!

I'll post pics etc later, I'm off to the fitba now

Ducati levers fit T's. Look for some of them, I had some black ones on for a while while I got the dough together for some decent ones.

I got a set of Titax levers for my rsvr from calsport at a bargain price (£70 for the pair posted). Only got them as bent my standard clutch lever & aprilia wanted £60 plus for a standard replacement. They were listed for a duke but after visiting Titax's website I noticed the part code was the same so true that.

Being shorty style I felt more at home with 2 finger use after riding mx bikes for a while but did notice it made the clutch feel heavier.

Oh, and yes they looked fookin cool too. Only ribbing I got was from some joker called griff cos they were gold. He even offered to anodise them black foc with his next job as they hurt his eyes that much!

The goldie yins, while quite cool as ****, look even cooler in sexy black, surely every yin kens that....:thumbup

Matched my teeth at the time but got carbon ones now so black all the way, lol. Well so a mate told me, after all their all pink inside!

I can't for the life of me get the pin out of the original clutch lever

anyone know where I can get the bits below (without buying a whole lever for £70!)

rusty - you can get the pin & barrel from AF1 racing http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=7756 email them & ask them to mail it "small box flat rate for $15" the item as you can see is $24.99 - whole lot should come to $39.99
It works a treat - locktite the allen screw in with some medium locktite, take care to measure the existing pin length & repeat on the new part
p.s you cannot get the part over here as aprilia uk do not stock it...any probs get in touch - hope this helps ...tuboy. :thumbup

dont forget the locking screw from underneath the barrel, easy done.

Unscrew with a 1.5mm allen key then the pin unscrews and make sure you measure the length of the pin before you take it out just see my post

rusty - you shouldn't need to replace the pin. They're a ******* to get out alright, but hold the lever over a flame (I used a camping stove), get it good and hot, and you should be able to get it out.

toboy, jrenoc, gilo

I could ****** kiss you

Being the ******* I am, I did'nt realise there was the little grub screw until I saw the pic on AF1. It was buried under **** and took a while to get out. I then had to ret-tap the thread and screw after the damage i'd done earlier but it's good as gold now

Cheers dudes (thank christ, I didn't fancy paying AF1 £25 for 10p's worth of kit) :thumbup:cheers:thumbup

nice one, hate to see a fellow t rider suffer, a mate and I did the same when we did his , couldnt for the life of us see why the pin wouldn't move .

Glad you sussed it buddy but just a quick question , do you have facial hair ??

If so put the kiss in the bank;)

no worries, I'll have a shave just for you.

Here's the promised pics. I'm well impressed, for £34 quid delivered I think they're outstanding. They fit very well and I've not had to modify them at all by sanding the mating surfaces etc

PS the pics aren't as good as reality cos of the lighting

They look just like the tech7 levers I had on my blade .
Basically just the same as pazzo's on the T

That little frikkin grub screw caught me out also

A tight little fekker too

I had to hammer a oversize imperial allen key into it to get it out

Then I found all my mucking about had damaged the treads on the pin

All sorted now but why dont we see it earlier :crazy

I'm sure the Italians put these little headfucks in for a laugh :kicknuts

Glad you got it sorted :thumbup

ASV

RULE.

Those are identical to the one's I had the brake jamming issue with (although I paid £55 dammit!), not just similar, even the headers had D-80 inscribed on them. Take it eay on that first run (then when they work fine tell me what's wrong with mine!) ;)

Update.....

I was very fussy about fitting these after reading some of the above. I measured all the critical dimensions thoroughly beforehand. The only difference I found was that the axial thickness was 150microns greater. That resulted in a slightly more snug fit but still a reasonable amount of slack. I did'nt sand or file as others have. I made sure I cleaned out any grit and crap in the bracket then gitted with liberal application of grease.

I've done two trackdays on them since and they're fine

there's seemingly loads of different sellers on ebay (which might all be the same for all I know) but these are the ones I got http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aprilia-TUONO...64?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45f9ac5d9c

some photos etc above
