Hi Guys
I'me new here, just got an RSV Mille,1999/2000 I dont know which, bits on the bike say 1999.but registerd in 2000, it rattles, the clutch slips & it handles like a pig! not like my old firestorm. any way a new clutch loosen the head bearings und 2 new cam tensioners & all should be good. I have been reading articles on the forum with interest & it would seem to be a good group to be part of.
Chris

New on here!

:biggrin Hi! I've been on my an RSVR since 2001 but never been on here!
I'll no doubt find my way around.
I've ridden many bikes including the RSV4, but still find the RSVR is the best allround package for me!

Welcome to the zone mactech .... think i just met you on the MB site ??

Yep! We have Mercedes and RSVR's in common!
Let me guess you had a Blade prior to the RSVR? I had '94 and 96' Blades prior to my 'prilla:exclamation

Yep RRT / RRV and GSXR1000 ................. do you get up lakes often or was it a one off

The 'outlaws' live by Ulswater so I get up there quite a bit. I'll be there in a couple of weeks, but it will be by ML as the wife and dogs will be with me.
I found the lake district back roads rather small to let the RSVR off the lead and longed for the Yamaha 440 Super '******' I have in the garage to be sitting a little higher and going a little slower:thumbup

Hi everyone! short introduction: I'm Max, the guy that is helping Burrell in rebuilding the RSV because he is as good at mechanics as I'm good at knitting..:biggrin, on the other hand, he can make a good cup of coffee.. Currently own a Monster 900 (can take a look at her here) and a Husky SMR 450, thought last week got my hands on a 996 in need of a bit of attention, to say the least. So that would be up on the operating table after the surgery on the RSV is done. It seems like you're a good bunch in here..

Hi Max and welcome - nice Monster mate. Sorry to see in the pics that you must have just dropped it - oil must be pissing out of the holes in that clutch cover.:dowhat

Hi everyone. I'm back on two wheels after a two year absence, and it could only be my favourite, the awesome RSV. Picked her up a couple of weeks ago and will post some pictures as I upload them.
Anyway, I just wanted to say it's great to be back and hello.

'Ow do. Just become a '99 RSV owner, so thought I'd have a nosey round here. Been riding over 30 years, but it turns out I'm not ready for sports touring yet (just sold a triumph sprint RS), so it's back to the sportsbikes. Oh yes:bounce

Good lad,I tried it myself & it didnt work, now have a mille.

Nice one Alan; I`m getting to be a bit of an old git too (46), but I`ve just swapped the RSVR for a `Blade..............I`ll leave the VFR for another day when I AM older !

Life in the old dogs yet eh !! :biggrin
