Welcome aboard Millemille. Upside down gearbox? I'm guessing you have a linkage (gilles?)that has been set up for a race pattern, one up five down. Easy put back to normal if you'd prefer

Yep one up five down now that i'm used to it its ok it actually makes alot of sense I find it easier when I go for a bit of a blast and given my mechanical capabilitys its probably best if I leave it besides on the occasions it let someone have a go its great fun watching the confustion on their faces.;-)

Yeah I no its great, after a day of cbts I have to get my kicks somehow although scareing the liveing daylights out of 16 year olds come a pretty close second;-)

I've still got the old one in the hope I might be able to repair the sprag that way i've either got a spare engine or i'll sell it which as I spend my whole life completly skint I think the latter is very likely ;-)

I wouldn't bet on it I have a bad history with bikes, haveing only just put a new engine in after major sprag problems I now have a bike that will not start and no it isn't flooded and the batterys fine,so at a complete loss and considering a new direction job wise maybe something in stationary.lol i've got to laught other i'd cry.

Okay am a bit bemused about having to replace the engine because of a sprag issue, buts thats another story.

So what happens exactly when you try and start the bike then ....there are some extremely competant people on here so make a new post on the subject.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd stop by and introduce myself. I'm Neil and I ride RSVR. First fell in love with V twins about 10 years ago with a Honda Firestorm then a 748. Had various other bikes along the way before trading in a 'blade last year for my Aprilia. As I guess everyone else does, love it and it never fails to bring a smile. Looking forward to chatting and exchanging info with you on here.
