Here's my predicament. The mods I've done have been derestricting the ram air snorkels, the Evoluzione airbox kit, an Aprilia TI pipe and an Arrow clone chip. My bike runs great currently (although I consistently have starting issues which may or may not be related). I am either going to replace the eprom w/ a better one or invest in a Power Commander PCIII. Anyone have any experience here? I would put the stock eprom back if I went the route of the Power Commander, agree?

Ive got renegade airbox and custom twin pipes and run on the original chip, chip copes with nearly all mods, i have no loss of power and she runs smooth thro the rev range, power commander in my opinion is a waste of money on our year bikes mate

Hmmmmmmmmmm and rusts really well:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Rust or no rust- it sure sounded good! Little 1
A PC11 will improve throttle response, low gear-low revs down as well as in the upper range, worth it for the mods I have done to my 02 mille. (from 118-128bhp)Open chips will give more top end power but prolly at the expense of low down torque(which the earlier milles were renowned for). Because I have all the airbox mods, full race system etc I used the CE rep chip, (since I had the CER 57 TB's and downgeared the bike Iwanted more top end which it gave-at the expense of 1 bhp in the midrange.)
You can get fully open chips from Ducati-kaemna in germany(look at their website) They get SERIOUS power form Milles!
Of course-as was said in prev post, if yer not tuning it wildly, you can leave all alone.and the fuel injection will sort itself out.
depends what your after
cheers CK

I'm actually a pretty conservative rider since the police love to hassle guys on this kinda bike and I'm not in a position to have any encounters with them for a while. I'm mainly just trying to make it run as smoothly as possible. Should I just keep the Arrow clone eprom in there or should I go back to the stock one?

maybe the stock one will be enough, unless you are tuning and using a power commander cos then its an easy job to compare chips, really depends where you want the power-if you are bothered. My 02 ran fine with a Akra single race can, infact without tuning it gave 2bhp and better responsiveness, and the STD chip coped fine.

Hi Matey,
The fuel injection system should run ok with either chip with the mods you've done. Personally I'd go with the Arrow chip as you'll probably get more mid range punch with it over the standard as CK said in an earlier post.

I had the Aprilia RSC Titanium can and chip fitted to my Y2K mille from new and it ran spot on with no startng problems. I then fitted a PCIII, Arrow chip, Arrow full race system and Evo airbox and it put the power up from 111bhp to 118bhp. I then had it set up on a dyno and it added 1 bhp to the top end taking it to 119bhp, not alot but it added so much to the bottom end and midrange it felt like a different bike.

If you've got the cash and time get a PCIII and some Dyno time....

I agreee with chris, not all the mods will bring big power gains, but a fully sorted fueling system and custom map returns your investement in spades, as Chris said it will feel like a diff bike, much more urgent at low to mid revs and a bit on the top.(and no dips in the torque range)

Power Commander?

That really helps me out alot guys! Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Just had my RSV1000R dyno'd and the bike is running far too rich at full throttle and the fuelling generally is far from perfect. I have Akrapovic SP end cans and K&N air filter. I'm told the best course of action is to buy a Power Commander. What are your thoughts, and does anyone have a PC for sale to suit my 2010 registered bike?
