Right folks sorry for the stupid questions but here goes....
What is the best gearing to go for?
What size tyre should be on the rear mine is a 190/50 17?
how can i tell if my ecu has been chipped? looks like some wires have been sniped...

Not stupid questions mate, if you don't know you don't know and should never be afraid to ask a question. :thumbup

I run 16/42 and 15/42, all depends on how I feel and what I'm doing. 16/42 is not a bad choice for all occasions but 15/42 is for when you feel like going a bit mental down the lanes, 15/42 knocks a bit off your top end but who uses that on the roads anyhow?

Most guys use a 190/55/17 rear, however some have reported it rubbing on the chain so beware! I run a 180/55/17 BT016 tyre on the rear and I find it suitable for my riding style.

With regards to the ECU, just pop it out and take off the top cover and have a gander at what the chip says on it.

If you have an unknown chip fitted then PM DrRossi a member of this forum as he makes his own chips to suit your set up. Can't beat a DrRossi chip :doug

Have a bash at using the search function on here, it'll help you find almost everything you want to know. Don't forget the 'How To' section as well.

dont be scared to pop the lid of your ecu , have a looky see and report back we should be able to tell you what it is mate!!

16/42 for me dude, as im lovin a little more top end around where i live...

Cheers fellas, i live in Kirk Michael but work in Douglas...
i popped the lid off the ecu did'nt have aprilia wrote on it though, can't remember what it did say, I've drunk and slept since then!!!
How much would i have to pay for a chip?? seen them on flee bay for around 30 quid, i'll have to send Dr Rossi a message i think!!
I would like to put twin pipes on it, is falco collectors the way to go?? cheers again...
