Name that chip??

I opened the ecu of my 2000 mille to have a look at the chip, can any one help in identifying it i'm sorry but i don't have pics but it's brown in colour and has this wrote on it M27c256B

Any ideas??? Do the original chips have Rotax or Aprilia written on them?
The blue and green wire on tha small conector to the ecu has been snipped is this normal?
Sorry for the questions but i'm trying to find out what has been done to this bike.....

yep its normal - it allows map 2 in the cu to be used (unrestricted in some way? - do a search and you'll get more info) sorry don't know about the chip

I have just removed a 'Sport845' (aftermarket) from mine to fit a Dr Rossi one, if anyone knows about this one ?

118 BHP with a standard can, so not bad, Dyno for the Dr Rossi chip soon
