Duke is alive and well, still luvin it. Just toured the pyrenees on it again. Now that is a place to find your limits. 38 degrees, superb surfaces, no traffic or Garda. Nuff said.

Damn thats sounds good, you ride all the way? how much did it cost in total? go by yourself?? any pics and vids!? (for those of us not swan-ing around southern europe on expensive bikes!)

Ferry is £330 to Santander (5 hours from there to Pyrenees). From there on the cost is down to how posh you eat and where you stay. We did push the boat out a bit a couple of times (had an £80 bar bill in Jaca ) so it cost £700 in total but you could do it for less.

You can get nice accommodation for £20 -25 a night and eat for a fiver if you go the burger/small pizza route. Jaca is expensive as it is a bit touristy but get out in the sticks and it's much cheaper. They really are very friendly and welcoming and luv bikes regardless of their age or gender. Most have secure parking but theft is not really an issue.

Wow awesome. I`m in the process of organising the next eurotrip. Maybe this would a nice change from the normal french racetracks, I mean roads.

And particular roads or routes that are a must? And how long was the ferry trip and where did it sail from??

Ferry goes from Plymouth or Portsmouth depending on day you sail to either Santander or Bilbao. Last 18 hours from Plymouth or 24 from portmouth. Ferry has Cabaret and cinema etc so time soon passes and all cabins are ensuite.

In the pyrenees The N260 is the most famous biking road which goes for miles and miles. N230 also very good down from the N260 to Benabarre. Your spoilt for choice really. You can ride over the top of the mountains into France and back or ride round just in spain. Because of the nature of the roads it takes all day to go not very far. We did a section of the N260 from Broto till we intersected the N230 and then down to Benabarre and back to Broto and it took from lunchtime to 8 pm almost riding non stop apart from fuel and cold drinks. That is about 1/10th of the N260. It was hot hot hot and empty roads. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Benabarre is also only about 70 odd miles from the Aragon Motogp circuit if you time it right. The Hostel Mars in benbarre is the friendliest bar/Hostel you will ever find. The owner took his Merc out of his garage so we could put our bikes in 2 years ago and opened the restaurant at 11pm (we got lost) to cook 6 of us a meal.

Awesome!
