My name`ll be MUD now.........

:eek:h :no :down

what have you gone and done dex :no

You should have at least gone and tried the 09 R1, closest you would have gotten to the best compromise between Twin and Four (triples are prob the best but Triumph won't release an updated 1000 s-bike, and Benelli well ummmmm no).

Deacs :down

The only hondas I like are ..................... the XR650F and the CRF450

Triumphs dont sound as good as twin ok when they are being thrashed and yeah no 1000cc.

Yamaha 09 R1 is good real good still have one over a Honda even if you do meet the nicest people riding Honda :jack

In some circles mate, the 954 is reputed to be the best Blade of them all, but I`m not able to comment, as my last Blade was a 929. Sounds like the best of both worlds to me, a Mille AND a Blade ! :thumbup

By all accounts the 08 on Blade is a fantastic thing to ride and looks a lot better in the flesh IMO, anyway good choice it'll be a rocket ship mate. I'm slightly biased with the 954 as that's whats keeping my RSV company in the garage. Great all rounder and different enough to ride to (try to) justify keeping both.

Hi Dexter - I guess we all different on taste and what we think looks good, so if thats what does it for you so be it...so Congrats !!............I have been down the wrong path whereby I have sold an RSV gone jap and only thing happened was regret and depression. I really agree strongly on comments from Mr Chow, he nails this on the head. I want an RSV for me....not for someone else. I like the sound, looks , exclusivity and unlike the japs, you cant just get on the bike for a comfortable slow sunday ride to go get bread and milk from the local store. The Mille need us to be in a totally different mindset. You have to be aggressive with her and want to ride like an A hole otherwise you will not enjoy the ride and end up preferring the comfort of jap sensibility ?? The bikes might not be the latest, the fastest etc, but I would rather park a Mille at the local pub than park an R1 next to another ten of them in a row and make a note of your registration number so you know which is yours. SO.........most important think is you are happy. Cheers !

i have just come from the gixer world to the rsv life and am very happy i changed !!!

but was looking into the new blade for a bit then realised i dodnt want to spend that much money on a bike right now

but i do love the new blade and i know the front has been slagged off but thats the best feature i love it !!

:thumbup small world - I seek this colour scheme as my RSV is red.

Like you - appreciate that the 2 bikes are totally different in character.

Santa will be bringing me another bike. :roll

Mate, you can never have too many bikes, well you can but it's an easy fact to ignore.

My brother in law has a 2006 blade and it is magical...........;it does everything so well!!.............;but by christ it is boring.............never understood why Honda didnt make an SP3!! instead of a ***** 1200 tourer ffs.

Well Dexter did you get it? Whats it like? Getting a new bike is always a great feeling.

LOL.........some TOP comments there, especially from Mr Chow ! :biggrin

Picked it up today, absolutely love it ! :thumbup

Not a lot else to say really, is I know I`m on a Mille forum, and I intend to stay that way.

I thoroughly enjoyed my RSVR for the short time that I had it, and who knows.........I may well be back riding another one of these fine days, but for now, and the forseeable, this `Blade`ll do me nicely !

I`ll stick some pics up when I`ve got it as clean as I want it (for those who MIGHT want a look at it :)devious), and for the moment, I think the only mods to come will be purely cosmetic, ie the usual hugger, and maybe a dub bub screen............we`ll see. :thumbup

Hi Dex you've just gotta do something tail tidy wise with the rear end its a must. Also my mate with the HRC Blade reckons that a Yoshi can may make it sound like.... like..... well just sound like something, anything really.

Oh and if you could speak to him today he'd be recommending you invest in an R&G radiator guard. We did 300+ miles on Sunday but he did the last 20 miles in a nice big recovery truck on account of a stone popping the rad. The bikes a month old and he needs a new rad for a cool £590 plus £90 fitting :puke:puke~~~ so an R&G guard at £60 is going on as well
