Thing is, why should you have to think about it (too much) when parking up? With one of the alternative stands mentioned above you can just put the stand down and walk away. Worth it for the peace of mind IMO.

Tonight's sage advice is brought to you by a bottle of Grande Reserve de Gassac and Kerrang TV.

Mate...that's EXACTLY how I thought....couldn't see what all the fuss was about...and then the inevitable happened.
And...if you get a slow puncture in the rear even, and you don't spot it, there's a good chance it'll end up on it' side too.

It wasn't a pretty sight I can tell you......a grown man.....crying.....no.....sobbing....inconsolably.....Mrs Tifa thought I'd run over the cat....

Aha, noo theres an idea! mibbe strap twa cats tae either side wi tie wraps! That wid certainly cushion the blow.... Cheaper thin R&Gs and as me Missus is a Cats Protection fosterer nae shortage oh the beasts fur whin they wear oot...View attachment 175

Mr fun I know a Mr A Paul but I doubt he wis the previous owner, he must be 90 now. He's a super kool dude who took up skiing at the ripe old age of 66. If A is Arthur it may well be him. He's also the only dude I know who scored his own age round a golf course 79 gross.

A 15t sprock,I guess. You could always whip the sprock cover off and count the teeth,.....its only 3 screws.

A very sound suggestion Keith, can't think of an alternative.
