theres a lot that would argue the early bike is better ? as more grunt

i test rode a 05 millie R with all the trimmings and hated it !! but i love my 03 standard one as it just feels right

Also I dont think the gen 2 looks so...italian. Too many lines not enough curves, more jap looking. Always thought they looked more like an updated sp2 than an updated RSV but hey ho :D

I like to see something a bit different, thats a smart looking Bike there Lee :thumbup

Thanks guys.
I did hae an 04 SP2 befor I had the RSV!!ive heard the newer RSV's aren't quite as good as the classic shape !! I like them both but never ridden the newer shape !!
Decisions decisions ..........

To be totally honest (pls don't shoot me for saying this) but I did prefer the SP2. Why ? Because it feels so much more tighter, compact and precise !! The SP2 never missed a beat. 100% confidence in it no matter what.

The RSV - a little more "sloppy" not quite as tight and neat to ride. Not got 100% confidence in it !! I have to hold my breath every time I start it !! But still love the RSV !!!!!!

Lol opinions are just that mate!
SO F*** **F!!
LOl just kidding! Maybe your RSV just needs sorting? obviously they arent the most reliable bikes, but once sorted and the suns out I reckon they are one of the most inspiring bikes on the road! Granted I`v not ridden an sp2, but it just doesnt appeal.
The RSV is very restricted in standard trim, over geared restrictive airbox restricted exhaust, restrictor in the airbox, closed map std ecu (just need to cut a wire for the open one) etc etc. Ride a modded RSV thats been sorted and serviced and I think its hard to beat :D

Ha ha ha. Think I've just about got my RSV sorted !! Done a few of the mods.

Just need to do the batt & starter solinoid upgrade next so I don't have to hold my breath and close my eyes every time I start it !!! It has let me down a few times if you hadn't guessed already !!!

Other than that I cant compain and i do love them !!

hmm strange then, I would RSV is far from sloppy, Its definitly not as ridgid as the newer bikes, but in a good way, it seems to create alot of mechanic grip. But different styles different tastes I guess :)

I suppose you should ride the SP2 as well then !! To be fair they are both good !!!!! I suppose it just depends what your used to riding !!
